We need to match their intensity and treat this like a playoff game. Otherwise, this could get ugly. Go Lakers! Please give SA their 9th loss of the season.

The Lakers have struggled with the "elite" teams all season long. What makes you think this will be any different? Even if they play well (and that's a big if), it will probably still be close, maybe even down-to-the-wire, assuming the Spurs play like the team with the best record. I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong and you're right, but I've lowered my expectations based on the previous "big" games.

Its like Dr. Buss is guarding the Celtic rim this second half. Nothings dropping

Mason & Ireland on ESPN 710 were kicking this around a little while ago. The Lakers so far this year have failed to beat any of the contending playoff teams. Ireland said he doesn't expect them to win but in the event of a blowout he thinks it's a good idea to break up the team now while they have marketable trade items. He said Buss is such a gambler and the need to produce star bound teams is so great in this town he just might go for it. According to John he would keep Kobe, Pau and LO, everyone else should go. He also put up thoughts of getting Melo and Dwight Howard after his contract is up. Can you imagine all this?
