Kobe Lifts L.A. Past Portland
Kobe Bryant's running layup with 31.8 seconds remaining unknotted a tie and the All-Star added a free throw with seven ticks left to wrap up Tuesday's 89-86 Lakers victory over the Trail Blazers at STAPLES Center. Bryant finished with a game-high 31 points and team-best 10 assists, while Shaquille O'Neal collected 21 points and 11 rebounds.

That's such a good lineup. This is gonna be a tough one. We need to give Kobe MANY more touches in this game.

this might be one of our toughest games of the year. I wish we had Malone, because the have a great frontcourt now, and all we got is Shaq. Slava, Grant, Luke, or Sampson couldn't do much against them. I'm guess our best bet would be Grant though.

I hope we play them in the playoffs

They've only got two 20 and 10 guys and the No. 1 shot blocker in the league

I will bring back the player matchups starting with the one for this game, I haven't done it in awhile due to the uncertainty of who would play in the past few games

Yes, this Blazers team is very tough now. No doubt about that... don't let Rasheed's departure fool you.

Hopefully with sheed and bonzi gone Lakers won't lose 2morrow, but portland still has damon stoudamire. Lakers always lose in Portland, but now we might beat them with sheed gone. Lakers losing in Port. happens as often as Portland at Staples vs clippers goes to OT. Both scenarios happen each time.

LAL @ POR = Loss
POR @ LAC = OT/Buzzer Shot.

LAL @ CHI = Loss 4 lakers
LAL @ GSW = Loss etc..
LAL @ BOS = Loss
LAL @ SEA = Loss
LAL @ HOU = Loss
LAL @ MIN = Loss
LAL @ TOR = Lakers win by 3pts or less.
LAL @ MIA = Loss every other time.

Lakers are cursed in some arenas, it's been like this forever.

If Shaq will play how he should and payton will give ball to Kobe and Kobe will shoot and not wait till the end of the game and Slava will make open shots...we will win

The more the Lakers deny the ball from Kobe, he'll have more of a reason to leave.

I think we need to give Slava some easy open shots so that way he can gain confidence early in the game and it'll be a big help. We know he can shoot but he need's a little confidence and to try to avoid foul trouble.

Sooo excited for the game today, i didn't get to see much of all star weekend cause i was in vegas, but i'm so ready for this game.
