What was Fox's prediction? 17 out of 19 wins closing the season? Look's like we're on track cuz there's no way we're gonna lose to the drag queens next Sunday :man1:

The Lakers will win, but I want them to give this game more effort than they did against the Spurs and take it to the Blazers. In particular, better defense and offensive execution. No more playing to the competition's level, they need to show the rest of the league the recent 11-game winning streak that was snapped by the Spurs isn't a fluke. :man7:

Don't be so sure. If the Lakers come out like they did vs. the Spurs, they'll be in trouble. The Kings are a dangerous team and they got blown out at Staples only because the Lakers jumped on them early and kept up the pressure. I do think the Lakers will win at Sac but it'll be tough and LA will have to play great again like during the winning streak.

A must win! We cannot afford any more osses down the stretch except one more. Because the west is so tight we could end up sixth. So I expect a close game throughout, but the Lakers will prevail in the end.

I am most worried about Miles. He is a long SF that will give Fox and George fits. Their depth is something we have to watch out for. Shaq needs to stay out of foul trouble and make sure Theo doesn't take over defensively. Malone will need a cup of coffee or something, because he is going to have a long night with Zach and Shareef. The good news is they should be rusty, they played Saturday and don't play again till Tuesday, against us.

Perhaps, but the Lakers can't take any team for granted now, no matter what the circumstances are. They'd better come out strong and take down the Blazers, they're not a bad team and are fighting for the last playoff spot in the West, so watch out. :man7:

new injuries. Wasn't Outlaw already on the IL and isn't Woods a Portland scrub who doesn't contribute anything to the team except giving out black eyes?

"Sacramento talks as though they're our peers. San Antonio is a peer--They've won trophies..."--Rick Fox on the Lakers-Queens, 3/22 or 3/23/04.
And he's so right... When Sacramento makes the Finals, then we'll talk... For now, you Queens fans can go play with cowpies.

Bad news for the Lakers. Slava is questionable for tonight's game. The Blazers are incredibly deep in the frontcourt and all we have is Shaq, Malone, and Cook...this could present a problem, especially if any of them get into foul trouble.

LA Daily News: Slava Medvedenko's back spasms carried into a second day, and kept him idle during practice Monday. He is considered questionable for tonight's game.

Yeah, but Luke's not a true PF... let's hope Slava plays

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.
