Finally Kobe gets the chance to dunk on Bogut but its more likely Kobe will never be closer than 15 feet to the basket.
We played a horrific game yet the positive is we came back after being down with 10 in the 4th and we won a game that we played horrible. It can´t get any worse defensively. guys are standing around and Melvin friggin Ely looked like Wilt Chamberlain out there. Everybody gets open looks and teams have field nights against the Lakers. :freak2:
Something gotta change in Bryants head too. I had expected a couple of clanks at the end of the game as usual but thank god he remembered to drive and go to the charity stripe  . He better get his bleepin touch back in the game, he can´t hit anything from open to contested.I expect a loss because Bucks have won 3 in a raw and their front court is just MUCH better. I see Smush getting burned by Ford and Simmons having a field night.

IMO the key to this game is how we contain Ford.

game over then. smush has been getting torched by every PG in the league. i think the key is more on the big men. they are loaded with big men. and talented ones. bogut, magloire, gadzuric, smith. we are thin with bigs. gotta stay outta foul trouble.

No one can really stop T.J. ford as it is... he's so quick, he's going to run through and around our defenders with ease. This is going to be a tough game.

I have no link but thats what he said

Bogut: "There's no one I really hate, but Kobe [Bryant] had a demeanor of being very cocky," he said. "What happened with Shaq. . . . If I had a chance to play with Shaq or Tim, if they told me to buy them groceries, I don't care, I buy them groceries. It's a gift to play with somebody like that. Kobe is probably one of the guys that, everybody knows it, he's got that cocky arrogance to him, everything has to surround around him the whole time. Otherwise, he doesn't function. That's the biggest example."

*there was also the time bogut whined about kobe standing him up at a gym, even though he was at home with vanessa due to her miscarriage

Thanks KB8@CL, I didn't need the link, just the quote(s).

Thank you for that. As for Bogut... you're going to regret those words... welcome to the NBA... rook'

A win and a Dwight-esque facial on Bogut would please me greatly. :kobe1:

I hope Kobe doesnt focus on dunking Bogut. Thats just so useless..2 points is 2 points. He should focus on shutting down Micahel Redd again. If one person can effect him, its Kobe. He had his worst games agaisnt Kobe last year. At the same time, you know Redd has something to prove on him.

things to look forward to:

can kobe shut down redd again?

can the laker defense contain ford?

is kobe's slump over(every game i look forward to it)?

bynum vs. bogut rookie matchup

will kobe react in any way because of bogut's comments? *cough* facial *cough*

i doubt that kobe will be dunking on bogut though.....i haven't seen a non-fastbreak dunk from him yet this season, and maybe his finger is still hurtin....

As much as I don't like him, Andrew Bogut is my hero.

I will expect a double-double from him. If the Lakers win, I will consider giving up drinking.

The key to this game is the bench (Bucks is a very deep team) and containing Ford. That team is nothing without him, as was proved last year.

I am hoping for 2-0 vs Bucks and Raptors: am I being too optimistic?

I can't wait. This will be a very competitive game between these two teams. I'm still worried about Ford running through us.

OMG instead shooting 8-30 he might then shoot 12-49: the last thing Kobe needs is a reason to force the issue and believe he has to prove something to someone.

These are very interesting statistics:

Thats 11 games where Kobe has been atrocious (take out 2-3 games) and thats 122-322 shots. 37% shooting.

In the last 4 he has made 38-110-. Thats 34%. Thats just not enaugh for a superstar specially knowing he has the most offensive tools in the league.

As long as he can lock down Redd I can live with a less great shooting FGs. You know Chris the problem is not the 34 % shooting (it is but only to an extend). The problem is he is not consistent. Once he shoots 20-30 then 9-30 then 12-16 then 8-29 and so on. kobe needs to find a way to be solid in all games and great in a lot of games. Right now he is solid in some games and in some games you feel he hurts the team more than he helps. We all know without Kobe we completely suck so we need his presence and productivity every game to be competetive and right now we are ot looking consistent. It hurts to see Philly aleardy has a 6 game winning streak, GS has, Clippers have but we lose one, win one, lose 2, win 1, lose 1, win 2.... You can barely recognize improvement. Against Minny the offense made a huge step forward to go back a huge step 2 days later. The defense looks solid for one quarter then atrocious the next. Some is because of inexperiece, people lose their coolness and they panic but some is just lack of effort and thats inexcusable. Fatigue is already mentioned in EVERY interview for the second youngest team in the league after 15 freakin games? WTH? I have expected a roller coaster season out of this team but not a roller coaster season of Kobe.
