You know why don't you?
They started Kobe MVP chants and the admins shut it down to prevent further embarrassment.
you could hear that from the broadcast?JSM wrote:Cody wrote:JSM wrote:Maloofs have to be in their offices crying right now.
They went from jumping around like they won the championship to hearing their crowd chant "MVP" for Kobe to Kobe going bizzirk towards the end of the game in large part due to some idiot hecklers.
what did the fans say/do?
I must have missed it
After he was fouled going to the basket, they asked him "that remind you of Colorado?"
There's no way we can win the conference this year.
To win the conf, you have to come to play every night. tonight we are just not there.
What makes me mad is that this kind of game happens against team like Portland and the Kings
The Lakers will win the conference and will win this game they only down 6 points we took there best shot[
never doubt Kobe and the Lakers

.Anyway...I hope to see the opposition get plenty of it this post-season.

Lakers vs. Kings [3/4]
@ Kings
Okay time to give this a second go. Entering the game I expected this game to huge and big for both squads. The Kings were actually well as of late because they have won 8 of the last 10 games I believe. They were 27-32 and of course they wanted to make a push towards the playoffs. The 1st quarter proved to be odd as the Kings owned us with points off turnovers and fastbreak points. The Lakers defense was just lost as the Kings had an early lead and it seemed like we couldn't find the shot to go in. We were down by 11 I believe and we trimmed the lead a bit before halftime. We were down by 4-6 points by halftime. The game was physical and the Lakers aren't that great being physical. The bench was gone tonight as we only had like 2 points by Sasha.
During some points I got frustrated because the Lakers would have small runs and the Kings would just answer back. We were down by 6 entering the 4th and things just changed from there. I expected the 4th to be good and that's what happened. The Lakers somewhat figured out the Kings. Gasol and Fisher helped cut the lead and keep it stable so that when Kobe comes in he could hopefully finish off the Kings. Fisher hit big back to back 3 pointers and Gasol was just straight money as usual. I have to point out Gasol's play though. He seemed frustrated during the game because many calls weren't being called for him. Mikki Moore and Brad Miller kept goin at him and no calls were being thrown. Gasol kept his composure and kept yelling "LETS GO!" after a break between play occurred.
And it comes down to this, the Lakers are down by a couple and Kobe checks into the 4th quarter with 6 minutes and 21 seconds remaining. This is where all things changed. Kobe was agressive as hecklers got into Kobe's head. Kobe just kept on driving to the basket and fouls were being called for him. Kobe was sinkin free throws like no other because the Kings were over the limit and the only way you're gonna stop Kobe is to foul him with force. We got to the point where the Kings couldn't find a shot to go in and Kobe drained free throws to make us have our first lead of the game at 101-100. Kobe was sinkin free throws and even had a monster 360 jam to hush the crowd. Laker fans were in attendance as there was a sea of gold in some parts of the arena. I've seen many Laker games during my time and this time, Kobe was so fired up that he kept talkin to the fans and at one point he actually popped his jersey. That was just awesome.
Kobe Bryant. What else is there to say about this individual? He guided his team to tough wins against the Mavs on Sunday and tonight the Kings. During the 4th quarter, I heard music to my ears as Arco Arena started chanting "MVP MVP MVP" when Kobe was shooting his free throws. If you're true Laker fan, you know this event was big. During the glory days, Kings fans hated us with a passion. Arco Arena was loud and hardcore back in the day and now hearing "MVP" chants for a Laker was astonishing. I thought I would never see a day like this. I think my life just paused for a moment to hear the chants. We travel back to Arco Arena on April 6 I believe and let's see if that happens again.
LeBron James doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as Kobe Bryant for MVP discussions. I just don't get it. LeBron doesn't play in the [expletive] Western Conference and the Eastern Conference is just plain [expletive]. LeBron's Cavs would even be struggling to be the 8th seed if they were in the West. If you wanna see why Kobe is the MVP, refer to the Suns, Mavericks, Kings games. Some people are [expletive] blind.
