When they fouled Lamar, I knew what was coming...another chance for the Okies to tie. Yeah, they fouled the best Laker they could foul: Odumb.

Okies choked this more than the Lakers won this....the refs had the game in a silver platter for 'em.

I haven't watched much of the Lakers this year...and my blood pressure is probably better than it's been during b-ball season in a long time.

It's not a clutch three when there's over 2:00 left in OT. What does he do right after that three? He goes and blows yet another layup off the side of the backboard....then the ultimate in the anti-clutch: airballed freethrow and gives Okie another chance to tie.

Even from Sunday, this crossed my mind. Despite him going to the line many times against the Hawks, he was still getting hacked. Just like in this game... But this was WORSE!

The one positive in Boston's recent resurgence with the Big Three has to be that it now spares Laker fans around the country their annual dose of Tommy the Douche Heinsohn.

You'd think they'll step up with a player missing, but I guess the need LO. Our bench doesn't look good and aggressive at all.

wow Lamar!!!! Really?? Despite that 3 -- which was not the shot we wanted when it is closing time for Kobe -- he took TWO ill advised running layups instead of working the ball through the CLOSER, and one was blocked by the side of the backboard. A all-too-often bonehead sequence by LO.

And the CHOKE CHOKE CHOKE free throws, WOW. Airball with a chance to ice the game. Bynum missing with the pressure on too. Now teams will try to force the ball in LOs and Drew's hands at the end of games cause they are like Shaq and Howard under pressure.

what happened to that BEASTING LO from the Cavs game last year.

Oh -- worst officiating by far. They so tried to give the game to the Thunder. The non-call on Kobe and then the BS phantom offensive foul. Then the one on fish when Westbrook was using his off elbow everytime down the court.

These Thunder announcers are down right Saints compared to the Boston announcers especially the Tommy guy! If you haven't heard them commentate a Lakers-boston game before then you having heard anything bad yet! TRUST US

When Gasol comes back, we can put LO on the bench where he belongs to lead the 2nd unit. THEN our bench will play better. Hopefully. It just can't get any worse.

^ 45+ minutes for our bench. 6 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists.

Lamar is a fine player....when the game's not on the line. Then he starts thinking...and the trouble begins.

I don't hate Lamar....but he is what he is, a choke artist when the stakes get high.

If by "when the stakes get high" you mean in a close regular season game that is relatively pointless against a bad team, than I agree with you.

He stepped up in the playoffs last year in close, competitive games. He played great in the playoffs in 08 (before the Finals where the team collectively collapsed). And without him we'd have been swept by Phoenix the 2 years before that. I'd consider those stakes a bit higher than these few regular season games where he's had mental lapses.

Again Lamar certainly made contributions during the playoffs, I'm not denying that....he just didn't do it in the clutch...when the game was on the line.

Who were the Lakers' clutch playoff performers?

1. Kobe - every series, he played critical closer
2. Fisher - Game 4 ORL, nuff said
3. Trevor - Game 1 and 3 vs. Nuggets

The one semi-clutch moment I'd give Lamar was when he dunked on Birdman off a play that Kobe basically made for him by cutting across the lane in Game 5 vs. the Nuggies.,

I just think in the playoffs, every play is magnified so by coming up big, even if it's not in the closing minutes of a game, you're being clutch.

What sticks out to me is in Game 5 of the Finals. Orlando is mounting a semi-comeback and bring it back down to like a 5 point game midway through the third. LO responds by knocking down 2 threes in a row. That completely demoralized Orlando and cemented our victory. I'd consider that a clutch play.

Also, if we're just talking about late-game situations, LO was a lot better last year in his free throws late in games. There were a lot of times where everyone was expecting him to only make 1 out of 2 or something late in a game and he made both of them (ex: Closing seconds of OT @Boston in February)
