Let's see what Magic has to say too on Inside the NBA.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Remember he's Shaq! He doesn't have a reason to say things.

positive things about the game tonight:
We beat the Mavs at home, and kept the 13 year tradition going
We beat the team that lead the league in scoring last year
Shaq, Malone, and Payton played excellent together
Malone and Payton almost had triple doubles
George had a great shooting night
Kobe came out and supported the team and sat next to Shaq
Fisher had a great night also
Grant played well, and proved he can handle backing up Shaq
Russell proved he hasn't lost his shot, and played good D

all is good as long as they're getting wins

All five starters scored in double figures and a player off the bench. Lot's of assists. Great ball rotation and a great firing squad. That three point line better be watched cuz we're gonna bust it wide open. :jam2:

Walton hit a three :man10:

WOW i seriously had a HUGE smile on my face when i saw payton throw tha alley oop to shaq! i couldnt stop smiling! i had 10 friends over, and we were all in SHOCK of how GOOD The lakers looked...

looks like my REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY worked, i said tha lakers woudl lose, and they won! i need to use this method more often!

I was AMAZED of how much payton and malone helped us out, all that talk about age, BULLSH*T tha guy is 40 and hes running tha floor like a guard who is in his prime! Payton almost had a triple double, Malone almost had a triple double, shaq didnt need to score 30 for us to win, hell not even 20 for us to win, GEORGE proved he can be tha starter for this team or tha "nobody" guy(16 frickin points!) and fisher is tha MVP of this game, bcuz out of everyone he AMAZED me with his confidence and payton and fisher play VERY GOOD together! i really believe tha lineup of shaq malone bryant fish and payton can get it done!
