Shaq is coming back to join the Lakers after Phil comes back.

:man10:

Technically, he has signed the extension with Miami yet... he could "opt-out"

ha ha ha...

I said this from day one. The Phil, Kobe, Malone and Shaq feud is all a disguise to get LO, Butler, Mhim to the Lakers for another 5 year run at the championship.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

That's what happens when you don't get playing time. :disagree:

Lakers up their record to 20-3 when they keep teams under 100 pts...

That's pretty dominant don't you think?

A good game, really a game we had to win. Hamblin seems to be able to keep things in order, a lot less threes, more set offense. But we do need a replacement if Rudy does acutally leave.

That's such a balanced game; the way we need to play to win.

Great job Franko.

Let him coach the remainder of the season. Mid-season is not the best time to be coach shopping unless someone like Phil is available. There's more choices after the season when coaches are let go and college coaches have too much time on their hands.

As for the future, I'm not comfortable with a guy who's been in the NBA 35 years and has never been offerred a head coaching job.

They're showing a re-run of the 4th quarter of the Blazers game at FSN right now (1 pm pacific), just in case anyone missed it.

I am glad we won this game. I am impressed we held the Blazers to only 72 points. Now we have to face the Spurs without Kobe. This won't be pretty. :man6:
