Lakers Bounce Back, Blow by Trail Blazers
Los Angeles scored just 10 of the game's first 30 points Tuesday, but the purple and gold turned things around after that in a 92-79 victory over Portland at STAPLES Center. Caron Butler and Chucky Atkins scored 19 points apiece to lead L.A., Lamar Odom poured in 18 and Tierre Brown came off the bench to rack up nine of the team's 28 assists.

The Blazers are about as banged up as the Nets, they could only have 9 players for this one.

Ha Seung Jin: Back - I-L
Derek Anderson: Tooth - Questionable for Feb. 1 at L.A. Lakers. The Portland Oregonian reports Derek Anderson missed his third consecutive game after having double root canal surgery Wednesday. Another surgery might be required, trainer Jay Jensen said, after one of Anderson's teeth became infected.
Darius Miles: Suspension - Suspended for two games. Expected to return Feb. 2 vs. Denver
Shareef Abdur-Rahim: Elbow - I-L. Might miss up to five weeks (Updated - 1/7/05). According to the Portland Oregonian, Shareef Abdur-Rahim underwent successful surgery on his sore right elbow on Wednesday. He could miss five weeks.(Updated 01/13/2005).
Viktor Khryapa: Foot - I-L. Out for the season
James Thomas: Ribs - Questionable for Feb. 1 at L.A. Lakers. James Thomas (ribs) missed Friday's game against the Clippers. He remains day to day.

im usually optimistic, but nick the quick might go for 40, and mighty mouse is gonna penetrate more than kobe in colorado

Zach, NVE, and Damon will probably all torch us, but thankfully that's all they have. I don't think those 3 can score 100, but with Chucky guarding their backcourt, you never know.

Hopefully Rudy stays home so that Mihm could actually be playing in the 4th quarter. More shotblocking and rebounding in crunch time, I could not stress that enough..
