Kobe played a horrible game
If on the morrow of the revolution, the masses of the people have only phrases at their service, if they do not recognize, by clear and blinding facts, that the situation has been transformed to their advantage, if the overthrow ends only in a change of persons and forumlae, nothing will have been acheived. -Peter Kropotkin

I don't think everyone would ride his sac.

Like I sad, 9 straight games of Kobe shooting incessantly.

We are 2-7 in those games.

The first 4 games were different.

Something's gotta change.

All the stories that guys weren't spacing properly, etc., that doesn't apply tonight.

Unbeleivable.

We could've won this game.

Good effort by the lakers... Kobe had a bad game at the wrong time.

Had he been the 34ptpg kobe, then we would have won by 6

this is hilarious. Look at yall. This is Odom's first really good aggresive game and a bad game for Kobe.

What about the rest of the season where Odom has given Kobe little to no help??

This 1 game erases all of that. :man3:

Do you guys think this game would of been different if we had Kwame?

I think we could of been a threat to them throughout the whole game if Kwame was here. Lost? most likely, but my point is, that instead of being a threat to the Spurs in the last 4mins of the game, we would of been a threat throughout the whole game
FAQs:
Caron Butler totally owns Kwame Brown
You guys need to stop acting like if Brown>Butler.
Butler was the better offensive player. Kwame is just a bench player averaging 21mins/6pts/6rebs per game on solid defense.
If a PG wanted to, he could box out Kwame...

By the way, why the **** does this site always go slow after a game?

Kobe's problem is that if his shot is off, all he can do is keep shooting. He doesn't think he can help the team by devoting his game to getting his teammates good passes. On one possession Kobe drove in 1 on 3 and got stuffed. He wanted to pass it but he was so conjested that it was impossible.

Kobe played bad but everyone has these types of games. Odom needs to play like this regularly. Also, Bynum and Sasha were our 2 best bench players and gave us some very good minutes.

Kobe really diplayed horrible judgemnt down the stretch, although he was fouled on both plays.. still he should have showed more patience and got shots in those possesions within the offense, not out of control drives to the hole when you not getting calls al night he should no better. I am sure him and phil will have a closed door sit down,.

This reminds me of the playoffs in '03 when Spurs beat Lakers. Kobe was getting fouled by Bowen most of the night, so at the last shot (3 pointer), with Bowen flying straight into him, Kobe decides to side step and dish to Horry to take the 3 instead of shoot 3 FTs himself. What was the result? Horry rims out, Lakers lose, Fisher cries... :man6:

Kobe got fouled on most of those shots. Bowen kept on fouling him. whenever he's go to the rim he'd usually get fouled and the refs called nothing. The refs love the spurs.

I gotta give it up for Odom stepping up, 12-24 shots with 27 points..But my Spurs were the ones that took that couple of last minutes, but I gotta say, the Lakers gave up a fight, and the lost wasnt that bad for them, they lost by 6 points, thats better then losing by 10 or 20..The only one to blame for this lost tho, is Kobe, cuz it seems that when he gets the so called "HELP" hes looking for, he comes down, then when he get no help, he Steps up, I dont know but how does that work??

Odom starts bring the Lakers back up in the game within 4mins left in the 4th
Kobe tries to get on Sports Center, kills our momentum
Kobe dosent get the ball to Odom when Odom is playing great
Kobe dosent get the ball to Odom when Odom is making mis-matches
In order for Odom to score, he has to pull down the offensive rebounds from the shots Kobe missed and put them back in.

I love it when lakers fans gave FAIR judgments on Kobe. Yes, Kobe did terribly today but the refs robbed at least 10 free throws from him. Do you know what the 10 free throws would translate to? At least 7 more points.

Reasons We Lost

1) Digging ourselves into holes. You don't win when you allow yourself to get behind by huge margins. If we showed the fire we showed in our last 3 quarters in the first, this is a Laker win.

2) Kobe's cold shooting. 9/32 isn't going to get it done.

3) Poor substitution pattern. Bynum was amazing. Mihm gave us nothing. Taking Bynum out in the fourth for that brief period gave the Spurs a few easy buckets that pushed open the gap.

4) Officiating. Terrible. Just terrible tonight. When you get nailed every time you drive in, it messes with your mindstate and gameplan. The game just wasn't called fairly tonight.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."
