well yes but D is all about effort ... look at Ben at his best undersized but man he worked his butt off ... Noah is amazing the best post defender in nba right now ... Howard is joke he is just more ripped

I would say that it isn't just all about effort. There is technique involved. Noah just understands body positioning and how to read misses. I remember reading how Dennis Rodman said he would study how the ball would bounce off certain parts of the rim so he could better anticipate where the ball would go. That is why Rodman was such a good rebounder.

The other players need to show up.
