WTF were you guys watching? After Kobe got caught in the air with no where to go, he HAD to pass it to Ron. And Ron taking the shot wasn't what killed us, it was the fact that he hesitated and allowed Gay to recover. Otherwise it would've been a good shot since there wasn't enough time to pass it back to Kobe.

And we wouldn't be in that situation if Ron didn't hit that other three when we were down by 7.

What? It sure looked to me like Kobe attacked but got stopped, so he dished it out to Ron who had a good look at a 3.

Without a TO, you give Kobe a shot to create something. He did (I thought he should have taken the shot on the drive before he pulled it back). Ron missed. I don't mind that part. I do mind HOW he missed though.

Kobe wanted Ron to get that shot to build his confidence. So cute. The Lakers don't seem afraid to lose.

Great loss. If losing like they did tonight doesn't wake them up, wow...

Kobe trusts Ron. He's one of the few Lakers that actually passes it to him. That says a lot, knowing that the rest of his teammates know he's not a good scorer and should stop trying to score all the time. He should just play defense. He should do what's good for the team.

However, Ron basically said f** you Kobe. Since it was clear Kobe only gave it to him so that he could move for a better shot. Ron should have given it back to him. Kobe would have been wide.

But then again, all of this could have been avoided if Kobe just took it to the rack.

THANK YOU. Kobe had to give it up to Ron because when he went airborne he didn't have a good look at the basket. When Ron caught it he had a good shot but for whatever reason hesitated to shoot.

I know...but people need Kobe to take a contested shot at the buzzer so they can call him a ballhog. Apparently.

Rewatched the end sequence, Kobe tries to drive but gets cut off so he decides to pull up but OJ is right there so he's forced to pass. Ron should have either shot it immedietely or passed it back to Kobe who had flashed back out to the 3 pt line waiting for the ball, there was enough time.

Force them to foul? You know the refs would swallow the whistle right? Taking it to the rim means he'd just get hacked with no call, most likely miss, and it would be game over. Instead he sucked in the D to the paint, and go it to wide open Ron for the win (good choice on the road), and Ron decides to hesitate and double clutch his shot allowing Gay to recover.

That last sequence is totally on Ron.

the Lakers can't close lately. All close losses -- and many many key misses by Kobe. Not closing out this year at all.

Blow a 14 point lead to Denver.

Can't get key stops at home agains the Suns.

Blow a 19 point lead at Utah, and a 5 point lead with a minute to go.

Lost at home to Indiana -- nobody can hit a thing besides Kobe, and he misses a wide open 3 at the end.

Then not getting any stops this game. Fisher was awful. Dreaded pick and roll back. The Mavs and esp the Spurs will kill the Lakers with that. They are ice cold, cant get stops, and Kobe hasnt saved them. Too many outside jumpers. He had the angle on Mayo and gave it up for a pull up. Sad stuff to watch.

It always bothers me how Kobe becomes lax on defense and plays off his man. Few time this season his man gets open looks.

Not worried about the last play, I'm more worried about the blatant lack of any defense from Fisher, worse than ever, and the fact Kobe literally isn't guarding anyone very well at all. He got wet up the entire game looked ridiculous. I know he was guarding some young fellas but..

Glad Ron is now the whipping boy and no one on Phil's sorry no good [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] for no timeout in 2Q when they made a big run and same thing at end of game. FU Phil. Also, he is the one who took Shannon out and put Ron back in anyway. Still on Phil.

Finally someone says something about Fisher making Conley look like Deron Williams or Chris Paul. Fisher is a joke.

I'm perfectly happy with PJ not calling a timeout. This is the first quarter of the season. LA has 5 losses. The team has to be able to play through stretches like that.

so, 57 wins again for this team? will that be good enough in the west? I doubt it.

Gasol just lets layup after layup go by. I wish fisher had fouled out in the first half.

Ugh, Fish was awful today. Phil gave more minutes to Blake, but not nearly enough.

You don't really know that. The Lakers are going through lull....it happens. They'll recover.

Nows the time to secure home court. Had a bunch of home games and the least amount of back to backs and already a couple losing streaks, a tired Pau and a no heart defense.

Pau's always gonna be a softie so you can't change how he is. We just need another big that can manage the paint because Pau can't do that. I don't really trust drew but he's better than Pau managing the paint.

Pau is not soft as he showed the last two Finals. He is just playing way too minutes and playing out of position.
