There is supposed to be a high scoring fast efficient offense in that equation somewhere but I don't see it tonight.

Lack of speed. He's trying to do some of his old stuff, but he's just not fast enough.

So much for cutting into their lead, down by nearly 20.

It's making me more and more upset with how the league gave us the TOUGHEST schedule in the league to start the season KNOWING that Kobe was going to be out.... :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

:man10: I don't know - just watching James and Byron in the booth and the way they talk you can tell they can't stand D' Antoni and don't respect him for $%*&. And can you blame them? They know this team is poorly coached.

We need to get rid of these old guys.

Pau/Blake/Nash

47 minutes, 15 points, 4-14FG, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, -41+/-

And ZERO defense.

This is already a pattern with this team: inconsistent effort, especially on D. They seem to cash in heir chips early when the shots aren't falling, and they lack anything to fall back on when the offense isn't clicking. It's just not a recipe for success and probably only "entertaining" during the 3 or 4 games out of ten they will manage to win playing that way.

Yes, coaching matters. I don't understand why given a full pre-season MDA is still figuring out his rotation. Last season the inconsistent efforts were because of a lack of training camp. This season the reason is ... who knows?

I don't see much of a system on either end. Saying that "the ball finds energy" does not a system make.

I'm sure that during the post-mortem of this season apologists will say that MDA was placed in a horrible position, what with all these players on one-year contracts yadda yadda yadda.

I just hope he gets fired anyway. Never liked him with the Suns, where even when he was winning he revealed himself to be a first-class jerk. never liked the hire which was some kind of wierd pre-emptve panic move. Have not liked the team's execution under his tenure.

The team simply doesn't show up every night. That's not a good thing.

He's actually quite good at sharing the ball when needed or called upon. Sort of like a lite version of Kobe.

I saw a loss coming but this is just awful...
We don't play D. We just don't.
And of course we suck on the road -- ALL of our guys seem to rely on our home crowd feeding them energy.. it's a team made up of role/bench level players.
Kobe, who's not even healthy, would be the undisputable starter in a good team.

This is basically the same old MDA crap as last year. He's missing consistent offensive punch to make his team works since he doesn't do squat for D. This guy is con man the front office will never pull his covers. :mad1:

Even with the stretch provision I hope Nash calls it a career after this year or Mitch can trade him for a pick or something

Call me a heretic but I don' want Kobe coming back to this slop. It was awful watching him play until the wheels literally came off last year because MDA was too scared to not run Kobe into the ground. Big time cowardice there. If Kobe comes back he'll play the only way he knows how -- he will go all in -- but all for naught. Dragging this collection and coach into the playoffs for another early exit is pointless.

He'll retire because there won't be much trade value. It's clear he's never fully recovered from his broken leg last year. It's time for the pasture.

Nash hasn't hit a wide open shot this whole year. Watching these old guys is getting annoying.
