5 point lead, no turnovers, Kobe 0-8 with 5 assists. Pretty unconventional start. But, the team isn't playing badly really, just not making shots. Hope they can tighten the screws offensively.

Seems pretty likely. The rest of his body language is fine, he's elevating fine, he's cutting and dribbling alright, but that point of release just seems less than ideal. So many shots just seem either just barely too strong or barely to weak. Seems symptomatic of trying to adjust to pain.

i would be pretty pissed if we lost to the pistons. they are one of the worst teams in the league, if not the worst on paper. they are soft in the backcourt, and undersized in the front court. their bigs are soft, and we should take advantage of this. our guards should be able to post up and score a million points on them. shame on the lakers if we start to even trail.

We were briefly down by 2, but are now up by 8. As long as we hold the lead, we should be fine, but I'm not liking the defense right now. Giving up too many easy baskets.

Yeah...that probably applies when the Pistons or whatever bad team is facing anyone but the defending champs. All these scrub teams seem to try their hardest when they play us, not sure if it's because of just the name on the jersey or because they have won the last two NBA Finals or both but all it means is this team can't take any nights off if they want a good record at the end of the day.
