Okay.... I'll say it.

I'd rather have Farmar than Blake. Kill me. I don't care.

Despite being a momentum killer at times, Farmar was capable of going off in any given game.

Blake is good at bricking 3s consistently and having zero impact on the game.

DeJuan Blair was a huge rookie second round steals for the Spurs !

No way. We would have 4 or 5 more losses with him in the second unit...

Yeah, I'm a Lakers fan like 99% of this board.

I doubt that, you seem more like a Kobe fan.

There isn't ONE example showing how I'm a Kobe fan. In fact, I'm not even defending him. He had a terrible game and isn't looking good AT ALL right now.
"Let me say one more thing about Kobe. He will be the best player in the history of the game. If he keeps doing what he's doing, there is no stopping him. He is that good." - Shaquille O'Neal in his autobiography, "Shaq Talks Back"

Blake needs to attack the basket more. At least attempt to penetrate into the key to draw the defense in, and make the defense work a little.

I must say, Clippers fans and die hards of mediocre or scrub franchises deserve a s*** ton of props. This game is absolutely brutal but at least it's just one game. Even their recent string of crap performances, at least LA is still well over .500. To watch your franchise blow it year after year and still fly their colors takes a hell of a lot of dedication.

I didnt get to watch the game but this loss is just another bump I guess, but lately its just been bump after bump after bump so this loss certainly hurts. I figured we would bounce back after 2 embarrassing loss but.. Oh well...

Blake & Brown were worse than Kobe tonight.... 2-15.

This team flat out sucks...

That's true. For the last 3 seasons, the Lakers have overpowered teams largely based on their offense. Scoring 100+ a game was normal with over half of that offense coming from the paint. You could live with the Lakers not defending because they were just damn good at scoring. No team in contention even came close to their offensive potency and when they did dig down and defend, they could do it just well enough to be unstoppable.

But the last three losses have been some of the worst offense I have ever seen, for any professional basketball team. Bad entry passes, bad rotation, missed open shots, missed layups, missed fast breaks, missed free throws, too much dribbling, too much passing(i.e. Lamar passing an open shot to someone who is not open) Kobe chucking when he is dead cold, Shannon brown chucking when other players are open, turnovers, and more turnovers, and most of all: I don't even remember the last time the Lakers went on a 10-0 run or had multiple 8-0 or 12-2 type runs in a single game.

Whether it is the triangle offense showing signs of weakness(other teams are better at countering it) or whether the team isn't working out enough in the gym, or whether it is just supreme bad luck, the end result is some seriously ugly offense that turns into embarrassing losses by consequence of our normal haphazard defense.

The sad part is. The Lakers actually played decent defense for some long stretches of this game. There were definitely flashes of competent, aggressive, energetic defense tonight. But it just doesn't start on the defensive end with this team. If they aren't running their offense, nothing works.

Damn frustrating.

Call me crazy, but I'm not worried too much. We just need to get the role players to realize their roles, and stop trying to do too much. We need much better spacing so Pau can operate offensively, run the triangle and work on spacing. And we need to work on our defense, so we have the assignments...stop gambling too much like right now.

Well... At least Drew looked good. I know Kobe had a bad game and all, but if you're going to get on him, you need to get on Pau as well.

This team as is not playing well at all.
