Agreed. I'm not too worried though. I have confidence they'll work it out. I'm just glad the effort was there tonight. There were some dumb mental errors but it will get better. This team needs an identity. It's funny how each season the team takes on a different identity. I think they have yet to find their identity this year.

The points differential is a bit of an exaggeration when you think about it. Once the Lakers determine that a game is out of reach, they often go into "F it and chuck it" mode which leads to a 8-10 point loss being an 18-20 point loss. The Lakers actually started this game MUCH, MUCH better. Their defense was solid and they were attacking the basket. Unfortunately Bryant decided to try and find his shot early on and it ended up costing LA down the road. Rather than opening up their lead by going inside Kobe was shooting his team into the ground. By the time they decided to go inside to Drew it was too late, didn't help that the big fella was in a FT funk as well.

I still trust this team's ability to do well in the postseason,even winning it all if they made it to the Finals. But without a solid playoff berth, I don't see them getting to the Finals again.

Not worried either. We weren't this bad last year, but some people that are here now swore we were going to fail in the playoffs and we won the ring. I have complete faith in my team until the final buzzer sounds and we're the team that's losing.

i don't know how you guys can say you're not worried. We look awful, the only way this team wins anything this year is with a trade because the way they are built now no ring this year.

Seems like a mental funk more than a physical one. They'll get over it. Expect huge win streaks and huge scoring outbursts from Kobe come late January to February. HCA throughout the playoffs is another issue though.

I totally agree with this, all of the physical ability is there but when their head is out of it, nothing transfers. They need to get it together, focus and get back to playing the ball they did at the beginning of the season I don't know what's going on with them to the point they can't focus mentally.

The Lakers always seem to go through a little stretch like this each year and end up going on a win streak. I do agree scheven though the home court advantage will be a little tough to get because of the way San Antonio and Dallas are playing right now.
