I wouldn't mind Kobe sitting out another one...

coming back from injury and play b2b already is probably too much. Just get 100% healthy. The team has been winning some important games so we aren't terribly under pressure, especially if Thunder beat Clippers tonight.

Kobe needs to play Tuesday.... If the Clippers win tomorrow, it's back to a 1 game lead with 5 left...

If Clippers lose... ehhh your up 2 games essentially 3... but Lakers could easily go 2-3 and Clippers could run the table.

Yea I'd love to see another win without Kobe. After all the games he's been able to rest, I'd hate to think he came back a game early and risked everything and re-aggravates any and all injuries he's been nursing (still think the ankle or a foot bone was involved).

Hopefully Andrew gets over the respiratory issues.. we won big because of his relentless rebounding last time.

Gonna be a tough game for the Lakers. No Kobe and Spurs are looking to get revenge for that embarrassing loss at home last week.

But I think we'll be just fine.

This is a dangerous game. Spurs barely played their starters tonight since they toyed with GS all night. They'll be ready for us tomorrow, hopefully we will too.

Thunder losing was double tough for us...

now the Clippers stay close and at the same time the Thunder are falling behind the Spurs...so we might remain third and still face the Thunder in the second round :bang:

thats why we have to beat the Spurs to stay ahead of Clippers and make sure the Spurs fall beind the Thunder again.

Yeah, last night everything went a little topsy turvy and the great match ups we had appear to be in danger of not happening.

I loved the idea of Dallas in the first round for some sweet revenge and the Spurs in the second round. Now the freakin' paperclips gave a loss to OKC to bring them down to 2 and Dallas flailed in Utah to drop out of 6th.

We'll see how it all plays out. I don't relish trying to beat SAS without Kobe again. Obviously Kobe's not playing in either of the next two - if he doesn't play tonight how will he possibly be good enough to play a day later.

So maybe Kobe comes back against the Spurs in SA. This is tough. We also have to play OKC. Arggh. And the paper Clips keep winning and putting on pressure. We need to at least win a couple games coming up. 4 out of 5 to put them away isn't likely. 3 out of 5 is even going to be hard given 3 of those games we play against OKC and SAS. Let's face it, even GSW is not a gimme given we play up there and we'll be doing it without Kobe. We better beat Sacto or I'm going to be very upset.

I suggest we play "cheap" basketball and abuse the Spurs in the paint over and over again. It works. Additionally, if Matt ot Metta can give us another solid game and play some D -- we can win it. I expect Sessions to play well too. Should be enough, except if the Spurs get red hot behind the 3-pt line.

I don't believe they have an answer for Andrew, Pau or even Kobe. But since Kobe is out for today's game let's hope Andrew dominates the paint and we can get the same team effort as the previous four games and win this game. I cant' stand the Spurs.

22 points, 5 assists, on over 50% shooting against Dallas is quiet? :man3:

Well, if we lose to them twice in the next week, and the Clips win (which will be tough for them, on the road against desperate teams), then the Spurs can get the number 1 seed, Lakers the 4th, so if the Lakers can get by the Grizz (bad matchup for us, but....), then they get the Spurs second round, and the Clips get the Thunder in the second round.

Best case is we get Denver or Dallas then the Spurs -- we have good matchups there. AND the Clips can maybe beat the Thunder, then we get the Clips in the Conf. finals. That is another favorable match-up -- I don't think the Clips are ready for that stage yet. This way we get 3 favorable matchups.

Worst case -- Grizzlies, Thunder, then Spurs or Clips -- then Heat or Bulls. No way the Lakers can go down that road successfully -- WAY TOO weak of a bench for that type of run against younger, fasther, more athletic teams (except for the Spurs).

I just want the Spurs in the second round, and want the clips to play the thunder in the second round.

We should dominate them on the boards again. They can't matchup with our size

If Kobe returns tonight, I hope he doesn't upset the chemistry. Will MWP, Barnes, etc. still play at the same level or will Kobe end up in iso again taking way too many shots? We will see...

Wow!!! You guys seen the Grizz's schedule? They have Minny (just beat em), NO, Charlotte, Portland, Cleveland, and Orlando. They will run the table. So if the Lakers were to lose to SA an OK City, they could actually drop to the 5th seed. Wow.

No. We would have to lose 4 games with Memphis winning all their games for us to be the 5th seed.
