This is poorly draw up play by the Lakers, Popovich is the different here

Magic Johnson : "Put me with Kareem, James Worthy, Cooper and Byron Scott, and we'd dominate your Bulls team"

Pau should have called time out. but had balls to shoot that. Kobe was open for a quick but for layup.

considering everything I was surprised with how close it was. should have won but whatever. Dwight needs to work on his handles. getting stripped SO much!

Pau actually did the right thing there...he took the open shot which he can make. The pass out was much riskier.

He had a double double, also had 5 assists..we were out coached when it mattered, something thats understandable given the fact they have the GOAT coach and we don't even have a coach.

Whack. Gasol was like Odom right there.

This game:
Metta & Gasol have been awful this season so far.
Kobe needs to work on his defense. His man has been burning him all game long.

I'm glad it was competitive against a good team for a change, it's a good sign, but there is no moral victory, we NEEDED a win. Now instead of being back at .500 we're back to 2 games under, still a hole to dig out of. Can't believe Kobe actually played PG a lot of that quarter.

dam cant believe we have to settle for moral victories now

I didn't expect us to even be as competitive as we were against them. And considering how bad Dwight and Pau played, along with the injuries to Nash and Blake, I'm surprised we were even close.

That wasn't Pau's fault IMO. Kobe never got open, it was a poorly drawn play. If we had Nash or any decent Pg in there we would have two options to go to there.

No head coach, no Nash, no Blake, still fought to the end with the Spurs.
Can't say losing is acceptable, but there is a positive here.

How can you all blame Pau for shooting that 3? Kobe didn't get open, at least he had the balls to shoot it.
Great effort, nobody likes losing, but great effort.

Really? feels like a kick in my nuts loss to me.

Really losing by one to the best in the west with Morris as your starting PG and and interim Coach? Aight.

I like the effort, but a loss is a loss in my book. I don't care how close it was.

Pau could of called a time out and that would gave the Lakers another chance to draw up a play.

I at least feel better about our ability to compete against an elite team. So close but couldn't finish out the game.

Still have to make an open shot.... and we got two in both possessions, and our guys missed.

People are going to blame Pau because he missed simple as that. If he made it people would have commended him for not making a dangerous pass to Kobe and taking it upon himself to make the shot. You guys that are denigrating him are just stupid

At the end of the day it's just a regular season game and we played better. Not a big deal

Say what you will about Mike D and our "impending defensive struggles" but at least we will sure as hell score more than 82 points.

Hats off to SA for a hard fought game. On to the next one.

Realistically, when you have ever actually seen that happen? Oh, let me call a timeout with 3 secs left on the clock.
