This is a legit test of how well we are really playing, not going to get away with playing sloppy ball or bad D against the Spurs. Glad we took care of the last two teams like we were supposed to, because this could be an L.

I think we can win, it's just going to be a tough one, would have a much better chance if Nash were back. San Antonio still looks like a top team though, always well coached, picking up where they were last season. We're at home though, Kobe always performs against them, so I definitely think it's possible.

^^^^ we'll have to go to another gear defensively to win this ... I'm afraid SAS is the team which is going to expose the fact leaving players open for three isn't good D ... the bench matchup is a concern too ...

We'll need monster games from both Kobe and D12 and a good game from Pau .. because team wise , as of now , SAS which is used to play together is far ahead ( it's normal but as a team we're more behind than where we should be)

This could be a statement game from our guys. So far we haven't won against any relevant team. A win against the Spurs, without Nash, would be definitely impressive.

We have to DOMINATE their frontcourt. Work inside out and hit our outside shots. No second chance points, limit turnovers, and try to limit Tony Parker. Defensively, we have to give all out effort. Can we doe these things? Of course. However, I still think at this stage with no head coach and playing a pickup game against a well-oiled machine like the Spurs, it's going to be tough...

EL SEGUNDO – Lakers guard Steve Blake underwent an ultrasound exam earlier today by Dr. Steven Yoon; results of the test showed a minor abdominal strain. Blake will not play in tomorrow night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs and his status beyond that will be day-to- day.

Morris will start.....i cant wait to see what they can do with him 30 min on the floor....if they win this with him as 1st PG it would be great....but I doubt that can happen, especially against SAS ..we will see

How can we win this without our two main point guards and with an interim coach who will mostly stay "out of the way"?

Can we actually do it? Maybe, if the Spurs help us by not shooting well. But I am not going to be mad if we lose. I think the odds are against us this time.

The odds are certainly not in our favor which is why I won't be too upset if lose this game, but I would still like it to be somewhat close and not a blowout by the Spurs. With that said, I still think we have a chance to win especially playing at home. Also, a win here might really spark something in these guys and with a new head coach on his way and Nash returning hopefully within a week we may be able to get on a run.

Well, at least that's something. I wish him speedy recovery, but... we have players out too, so it's fair. Someone else will torch us instead.

Hopefully we can keep the game close. They can't stop Kobe+Dwight combo, there's no way.

LOL I was so wrong. This is what I said about the warriors game in which they held GS to under 40% shooting and under 90pts. Doubt we'll see these numbers again, and doubt a W against S.A. Hpefully they can prove me wrong again...
