Tues. 3/22 - Lakers vs Suns - Predictions & Comments

If anything this game was huge for the Pau and Ron's confidence. Both guys game through big time in the clutch, Pau with those two FT's to send it into 3OT and BIG DON RON with the steal and the flush and the awkward off-balance jumper that he just loves. LOL

This was definitely the most exciting regular season game I've seen this season.

Wow this guy filling in for Ernie on Inside is fricken terrible.

I think it's save to say that was the best game of the season so far, maybe in the entire NBA. Entertaining all the way, even though it did include a couple major Laker chokejobs. But both teams making huge shots down the stretch, back and forth. Just when you thought one team had it, the other came back and tied it.

AMAZING GAME!

Agreed. It shouldn't have even gone to overtime at all, but I prefer the way it went.

Gasol has been awful percentage wise without Drew -- he missed 17 shots. that is very very bad for him. two games in a row. because he is back to mr flip shot and jump shot.

actually I see now. Kobe shot it because he was getting fouled. what else is new. Nash grabbed him and hit him on the stomach and chest just as Kobe was going up - should have been and one.

still, Odum with the dumb foul on the Frye 3 - the ONLY thing you don't do, and he does it. lucky Frye didn't get a 4 point play to end the game. he must lead the league in fouling 3 point shooters.

Kobe put up 42/12/9 or something on a good %, and Grant got the better of him?

One thing I can say though, is that towards the end of the fourth quarter to the end of the game, Kobe really went into a funk with boneheaded plays, turnovers, and missed shots.

He also took the most illogical shot at the end of the game, but it went in.

Overrall, it's hard to say that Kobe didn't have a great game. Before the end of 4th I really thought he was playing pretty flawless. I just thought his ballhandling was a little rusty and I kept getting nervous that someone was going to strip it. He's gotta warm up on his ballhandling skills again.

No. you foul off the dribble or immediately with the catch. not when a guy is trying to square up. it was the right call because Frye continued in one motion. watch it again

When Odom reached for the foul, Frye was just catching the ball. He wasn't squared up because he wasn't even facing the basket. After the foul, he turned and shot it. It was quick enough that the refs called it in motion. It couldn't have been. Do you know what it means to be squared up? Rewind your TIVO and pause it when Odom grabs Frye. What direction is Frye facing? Exactly.

sigh. there was 2 seconds on the clock. of course he was squaring up. he was in motion to turn and shoot. that he wasn't completely around is not relevant. ever heard of a turn around jumper??

go back and read the pages. 1 minute before the play I called that Odum would be the one to foul a shooter because he does it all the time. don't defend him. it was a dumb and risky play and the right call.

Dude, you can't square up on a turn around jumper until AFTER you turn around. Hence, he wasn't squared.

For example, catching the ball with your back against the backet is not considered "squared up", once the player turns to shoot the turn around jumper, it's in this moment that he squared up. If you're like Kobe, you can turn and square up while elevating. A player like Frye would turn, square up, then shoot. In that order.

It was a dumb foul by LO. It's kind of pointless to get angry or small mistakes like that. Odom played amazing tonight. He's not going to shoot 100%, commit 0 turnovers and 0 fouls and score 50 points. Quit playing 2k11.

No doubt one of the best regualr season games I have ever seeen! It was good it was a LONG LONG grind it out we are better than you games! We haven't played that hard since Game 7 last year!
