Tues. 3/22 - Lakers vs Suns - Predictions & Comments

We better have a superior first 3 quarters than last game, and Bynum's absence hopefully won't be too noticable.

I smell a W.

last 2 games have been stinkers.

We should not trail any team in the 3rd quarter at home...and the last 2 we trailed by 6 or so in the 4th. We need to come out ready to play especially since Phoenix won the first game in Staples.

No Drew again, so we'll need to step up in his absence, especially defensively. I want us to control the tempo and hold the Suns to under 100. They burned us on 3's the last time they visited us, so we need to contest those better. Do those things, and we should be able to get our revenge.

I'm a bit worried about the defense tonight. Hopefully it holds.

In a way... The Suns are no defensive juggernaut themselves. My bigger concern is that the crew will get sucked into a faster paced game where it will make them lax on the defensive end.

Phoenix sucks, there is no reason for the Lakers to even be close in this game.

I really expect a blow out, we have always owned the Suns in LA the last few years...ya they hit 22 threes to win the first game but that will not happen every game. If they hit 20+ threes, good luck to them...if not, they will probably get blown out.

I also want us to blow them out, and I'll be disappointed if we don't, even if we win. The Suns are garbage, and they won't make the playoffs this year. The 3-point shot is all they have, but it shouldn't be a problem IF we defend it early and keep them from getting into an offensive rhythm.

From this thread so far it sounds like Nash is not a threat in the paint or whether it would make a difference. Someone needs to gaurd the paint in Bynum's absence... Odom has stepped up for a portion of it in the last game... We will see...

We should really win this one. No excuses. We absolutely don't need Drew to win it. Just play decent defense, and that should be enough. If they hit 150 threes, OK. Otherwise... play smart, rebound and win by 10+.

Drew would have been nice to have....but yeah, we don't need him to take care of PHX.

The NBA is raising money by marketing to the Latino pop. so they can sell authentic jerseys and prevent competition. It shouldn't last too much longer, about as long as that pink disease the NFL had to withstand...

I hate the Los Lakers jerseys. It doesn't make sense at all. Los is The in spanish, but we don't have The Lakers on the jersey. Its just Lakers. I hate gimmicks.

Frye is an "oversized" SG while Fish is an undersized SG. So it works.

can't stand slow starts by the lakers esp to inferior teams, why aren't we focusing or playing and man defense?

we should be up by 15 by now if we actually tried
