Not sure I like it as we have Sessions who needs the ball to be effective.... but like you said it's working tonight.

Bryant further reinforcing what many of us have been saying about him needing to play more off-ball.

It's sad to see Sessions like this. He's way too good to be falling to the useless role Fisher had.

If that's a foul from McRoberts, I'll take it. I like it.

Probably a "protest shot" for that stupid offensive set where we give it to him at the top of the key to initiate the offense...... we've got a point guard now.... maybe he should get the ball every now and again.....

That set up is designed to draw the opponent's big man out of the paint. Rather than the guard going around the screen with the ball he curls and then accepts the hand off from the big. The Spurs do this all the time.

Difference is that pesky little thing like the fact that Bynum isn't (normally ) going to shoot a 20 footer much less make one like Duncan or Robinson.... Drew's man sags or waits for Kobe off the screen.... utter trash set that I've yet to see be effective this year more than a couple times.... We usually get a desperation shot to beat the clock out of it....

I hate nothing more than those threes from Kobe's game. Just so unnecessary.

On the contrary it's been very effective when we use it to run pick and slips where Drew fakes the screen and goes up for the oop. It's not always going to be there, but the point is to once in a while have a set play as soon as you cross half court, sometimes it's there, other times it's not.

It's pretty hard for a PG like him to be relegated to a spot up shooter.

You are kidding right? The idea was good, but the shot was extremely difficult, and I bet most people here would bash Kobe if he missed it (which would be somewhat understandable considering the degree of difficulty)

Also, twice you've said it's all "simple". Let's get this clear, there's nothing "simple" about NBA basketball, don't underestimate the game like that.

relax. im saying the game plan is simple. which is kobe plays off ball and sesh assists. it be different if we did it alot and kobe missed...but were not even doing that. and when we have kobes made it easy shot or difficult shot

I am getting use to Kobe being the volume shooter he is now. He will be labeled this when he retires because that's all we have been seeing from him.

I really don't care anymore what he does....just rooting for the team to win.

I know how Philly fans feel with Iverson.

We are going to win games in spite of Kobe playing poorly.

We don't need him to win games any more unless he's playing horribly.

Sessions takes it to the rack.

I might be seeing something a bit different from some of you. He's not getting to handle the ball as much as he has in the past few games. He is doing good things with the ball when he has it. He's pushing it, creating, and getting to the rim.
