Wed. 4/14 @ Blazers - Results Inside - Postgame comments

Postby JSM on Wed Apr 14, 2004 7:00 pm

this isn't the kind of game we want, so far. Kobe is in foul trouble and no one can make a shot to save their life.

Shaq-6 points & 4 rebounds
Kobe-5 points on 2-6 shooting
George-5 points, 2-5 from the field
Malone-2 points & 3 rebounds, 0-2 from the field
Payton-2 dimes, 0-4 from the field
Fisher, Rush, & Luke (2 assists in 2 minutes)-each with 2 points

:disagree: This is how The Realistic Laker feels about this ball club going into the post season.

Just pathetic!

Please come back, Karl. Please be okay!

"Basketball reasons" is as believable coming from Mitch Kupchak as it was coming from David Stern. #IWantedPhil

he's out..this is big, I doubt he'll be ready for playoffs if he goes straight to the locker room. He doesnt even like telling the laker trainers if he's not feeling well enough to play so I think this is pretty serious.

I didn't see it, but this must really be one hell of a season for players to get injured at the remainder of our games. I guess it just wasn't meant to be...the Mailman hopefully would be alright though, I assure you with the Iron touch

if he's out our championship chances are over. I don't think he'll be back until mid-playoffs if we even make it that far.

It seems to me that in about the last 1/4 of the season, the Lakers have not been able to hit open shots. Is Phil not running shooting drills? He should if he isn't.

On the other hand, I'm actually hoping the Lakers lose and get the 4th spot for an easier 1st and 2nd round. :freak2:

no way against rockets is the best choice, plus home court advantage over the queens. Yao can barely handle regular season games, what do you think will happen to him in a seven game series against the MDE?

I'm rooting for a loss here seeing as how it looks as if Kings are going to lose. I know it's a dirty thing to do (root against Lakers), but it would be very beneficial in the playoffs.

But why ? Would you rather play Mavs than the Rockets ?

Yes, the Rockets will be a harder team to beat than the Mavs. Houston's offense is geared towards all of the Lakers' defensive weaknesses (pick and roll). That and Yao causes some problems in general. I just think Houston would have a better chance of upsetting us in the first round moreso than the Mavs.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Lakers finish in 4th and Kings in 2nd, wouldn't the Lakers end up facing Minnesota in the 2nd round opposed to the Spurs? I think it's safe to say Lakers want to face Minnesota rather than the Spurs.
