I'm not going to lie, I was very negative until that last minute and thought we would definitely lose. But I would NEVER turn off the TV no matter how bad it may seem. I'm sorry but that's unacceptable as a fan IMO.

I disagree that turning off the tv is a sign that you are not a fan.

During a game i can do a number of things. If the Lakers stink it up, i will turn it off and then check in a few minutes later. If they do well while my tv was turned off, then i try it again. IF they play well when i am standing in one part of the room, i stay there. If they are playing poorly, i can go to another room and watch from another tv, even the crappy tvs to see if they do better.

...If they play better when I am watching a crappy 2 inch internet feed while standing on one leg while holding my cat in one hand, then by hell, that's what i'm gonna do!!

So, if the Lakers fall down by 6 with just over a minute to go, why not try turning off the tv to see if karma will turn around!! It could be YOU that is the jinx!!!

Yeah, i may sound crazy, but i've been following the Lakers for a long time and it's working so far with 5 rings in the 80s and 4 more here!!

Exactly and it's not like I left without the intention of checking back, i.e, CL gameday

You live in a too competitive society when there have to be several different levels of fans.

So what if he/she leaves ? This is stupid.

LOL my thoughts exactly. I can't believe people can say you're not a true fan just because you flipped the freakin' tv off at the end of a game. I could see if one had turned the game off and got on here and announced that he wasn't watching anymore laker games. Be serious. Who are we to judge "true" laker fans. I almost turned the crap off myself, as well as the Miami game, but i made a vow not to do that this season, because i did it PLENTY of times last season, Game 3 of the finals and almost did for game 4 but i was watching with other people. Nobody wants to see their team lose, and some people take losses differently than others. Some people punch holes through their walls after losses, some throw joysticks at tvs after losing in video games (it happens more than you think too), maybe he turned his tv off early to prevent doing something like that, we're all different but it doesn't mean he's not a true laker fan.

I think it would be a good idea to put up the Next game's gameday thread right after the previous game has ended. That could help. :jam2:
