Probably has something to do with the fact that he was never really the best big man in the game to begin with. He has Kobe to defer to and Drew as his body guard to draw big defenders away from him. Pau is a great player when he shows up to play, but the lack of quality back-to-the-basket big men in the game today leads to him being slightly overrated. He's a great player don't get me wrong, but when I hear "best big man" or "best PF in the game", I expect Tim Duncan dominance.
