Lost a lot of respect for Griffin tonight.

Not just because of all the flopping an flailing s**** he did tonight, but the showboating on Troy frickin' Murphy sealed it for me.

Blake is such a bum. Resorts to flopping instead of playing defense.

NBA should really consider calling T's for flopping. If they did, Blake would be ejected every damn game.

Really don't care about the loss, really liked what I saw tonight. Hopefully those horrible rotations stay in preseason (which I think they will).

yeah, clips can smirk cockily, but they were a hair away from losing a home game against the kobe-less lakers. down the stretch, they brought back their starters and the lakers sat pau.

but good job, really.

also, if the refs buy a 250lb guy hitting the floor on minimal contact from smaller players this often, it's going to be a long year for blake griffin opponents.

Lawler being the Clipper announcer, sure is concerned about the Lakers. He keeps talking about all the people we'll be missing (Kobe, Drew, Shannon, Lamar).....I really think he's trying to convince himself that all those are going to help the Clippers be better than the Lakers.

all in all, a good game for the REAL lakers team. by real I mean no gerald green in our lineup.
Even without kobe, we played some great basketball at times. We coulda easily won if not for that disastrous 3rd quarter (we had like 12 turnovers :bang: ).
The outcome tells me that if we just play good defense we got them. They don't play really good defense, they just take advantage of our unforced errors and run. I believe that if we properly execute the offense, we can score on them every time. the key is taking care of the ball, guarding the pick and roll efectively and closing out on their shooters. we can do that right?

i figured i'd dislike the clippers by season's end, but i think i'm already there. hopefully they don't corrupt my man caron.

Either way I'm glad with what I saw today from the Lakers. We definitely improved from the last game and hopefully we continue to improve. The beginning of the season will be interesting and difficult without Andrew and an injured Kobe, but if we cut down on the turnovers and pass the ball inside more we should be in good shape. Sunday is the big day, go Lakers! :jam2:
