D Antoni you should rest all the starters like Pop did because we cannot win anyway lets at least have a thought of beat Jazz on Friday with good rest

Let's take turns force-feeding Pau and Dwight in the post all game and see how far we get. We're gonna lose anyway; might as well experiment.

slow the pace to match out age which will help limit turnovers too. play inside out with dwight and pau. Set strong screens and roll hard for Nash pnr. Play Meeks imo over Duhon/Morris for solid minutes not just like 3 mins.

They do that and i feel like our set defense will be okay as our transition is terrible bc guys get out of position and dont communicate. but when its set it is better.

gotta get dwight going early as well as pau. nash and kobe will inturn get theres as d sinks into the paint. also jamison metta meeks should get better looks at the 3 due to that sinking d and should make them.

this team can win but it comes down to following a game plan...most likely not what dantoni planned. play slower inside out and limit turnovers. the less possessions the other team has the better were off bc they can have 10+ more possessions (or 10+ more shots) due to the faster pace with turnovers or crashing the boards but we can only be down by <5 just bc our offensive talent is better and outside of crunch "kobe iso" time we get good looks a lot of the time when we play right.

kobe needs to shoot better too bc his misses leads to him taking more shots which leads to less for dwight and everyone else. i liked nash being aggressive early and that mixed with getting dwight going early is a good plan. then kobe will follow but starting the game playing good d and just shooting off screens and off ball movement. catch and shoot stuff.

just need more ball movement and guys to move without the ball. jamison does that well sometimes and others need to do it more too bc its just stale ball watching which wont work with kobe going 1v1 after using all his energy on d.

play slower pace, play inside out, get dwight and pau going very early, ball movement and off ball movement, comminucate and they can win. the offense will take care of itself if theres movement by players and the ball and the defense will be better in turn if they play slower and limit turnovers and can get their defense set with dwight in the paint. ive watched the defense a lot and it sucks but it is worlds better when they are set and not frantically trying to get back and are mismatched and dont communicate. against miami they played pretty good set d and the offense struggled bc guys didnt make shots. against chicago the defense was good for a lot of the game and most of their points came off turnovers...then crunch time offense was bad. play their age....play slower pace and thus limit turnovers and crash the boards. running and gunning and jacking up a shot then running back and giving up a shot bc their d isnt set isnt gunna work when the lakers start missing shots. SLOW IT DOWN and play inside out. its simple....dont run unless its open. halfcourt sets has been the lakers for a long time and will continue to be with kobe and nash unless the opportunity presents itself...not every time. half the time they jack up a shot before anyone is in the paint to rebound or try to rebound.

lakers win. but some nobody off the bench will have a solid game guaranteed.

They're not winning this game; no cohesion, no identity on both ends, no late-game execution, etc.

PREDICTION
The Grizzlies have a reliable scorer at the wing in Rudy Gay, a PG penetrator in Mike Conley, a perimeter defender in Tony Allen, and two posts scorers. They did weaken their bench a bit with a recent trade, but the team is a legitimate playoff team with second or third round potential. They seem to give the Lakers problems. Given Kobe Bryant's recent struggles, it wouldn't be surprising if Tony Allen harassed Bryant into another dreadful shooting night. If that happens, the Lakers could get blown out.

The Grizzlies pretty easily beat a Nash-less LA team earlier this season. There is probably no reason to believe things will be different this time around.
