None of that matters. We are trying to get a high pick, that's all. Yes, it's a crapshoot, but it's better then nothing. (The Draft will be pretty solid this year.) If some of those young guys are bad investments, they are not going to be re-signed. Finally, there is no reason to improve. What would we gain by doing that at this point in the season, when most contracts expire anyway? Get a lower pick, outside of top 5, while missing the playoffs anyway and still losing most of the players in the offseason?
Improve so we can keep MDA as our coach?
