Hopefully Blake does a better job at hindering Paul's effectiveness than Fisher did on Sunday. Not expecting a shut down type of defensive performance, just a little more containment would be nice.

I'm hoping for a blow-out win, and I think it will definitely happen tonight. We also have to control the paint better, defensively and offensively. And we have to guard CP3 better. He's driving to the basket and finding open teammates way too easily. Gasoft has to also step it up. It's the Playoffs, play like you want it dammit!

Will be at the game tonight. Row 2 cross court from Jack. No remote. All I have to say is the pressure is on Lakers to show up tonight. They will have a better product on the floor tonight to control CP3. Go Lakers!

Watching the Live Stream of the players shooting before the game right now.

Hornet's Side of the Court: Jarett Jack taking his coach off the dribble and putting up realistic shots. Emeka Okafor working on post moves and taking shots within 10 feet of the hoop. And Bellinelli taking easily over a couple hundred shots so far at close to game speed.

Laker's Side of the Court: Shannon Brown taking set shots from 3 and getting nowhere near the lift he'll actually get in a game situation, which makes the shot a totally different rhythm. And Andrew Bynum shooting 3's for 20 straight minutes with B Shaw passing him the ball

I don't know....are you really supposed to go 100% at pre-game shootaround? The purpose is to warm up and get in a bit of a rhythm.

I agree. Not 100%. But you are at least supposed to focus on taking the shots you shoot in a real game situation. Bynum shooting 3's is pointless in my eyes.

Shannon not getting any lift on his shots is nitpicking really, but I would prefer to see him out there shooting with the form and lift of his in-game shot so he can know whether to adjust the timing of his release (at the top of his jump, a little before, a little after) in order improve his accuracy.

the lakers are at home and have had all the time in the world to work on that stuff. the hornets arent in as comfortable of a situation.

I think the first 5 minutes of the game should show just how much urgency and fire in their pants the team has right now.

If they still aren't taking things seriously (I'd be surprised if they weren't), I'd say it doesn't bode well.

If they come out and show the will/effort....it's all good.

I don't know if comfortable is what you'd want to be in the middle of a playoff series. It's quite possible that the Lakers have been too comfortable.

^i didnt mean it that way.. i was talking in terms of a familiar situation as in their own arena and practice facilities. but i do agree that they have been a little too comfortable in every other aspect.
