I don't think that's necessarily true right now.. The Rockets sucked pretty bad last night, we pretty much gave them the game.
You can look at opposing players hustling and making shots and think "oh teams always play hard and well against us" (that is the case with the kings, blazers & bobcats at their stadiums though) but you also need to consider that maybe we are to blame too: we give a player an open layup, or allow him to get an offensive rebound and putback, all of the sudden they start to get into a better rythm, they gain confidence, they hit shots.
In basketball momentum is incredibly important, and we've had many games (tonight included) where we allow the other team to gain some and get in rythm. It starts on the defensive end, allowing easy looks, and on the glass. Missing FTs and turning the ball over hurt us that way too.

Outrebounded by the freaking New Orleans 28-23, totally embarrassed & unacceptable.

I agree his shot selection was good, but he usually doesn't get this many calls. A game called like yesterday's for example Kobe would probably be 5-11 with 2 more TOs.. I hope people take that into account when they bash him for being "ineffective", that sometimes he doesn't get the calles he should (and that many other stars get) and that affects his box score stats. Of course there are also times he can get some iffy calls in his favor and you need to take that into account as well. The whole idea is not to limit one's analysis to box score stats.
