At least the score looks kida respectable. That last play was horrible, not even able to foul.

Yeah Terry is talking...who cares? Dood is an idiot he's always talking but at the end of the day when his team is getting beat he's as quiet as a mouse. He's irrelevant as are the mavs.

Not impressed by this Laker team after the x-mas game. Just don't see the fire. Their bigs have continually disappointed all season long, especially Gasol.

This may come to bite them especially in the conference finals against Denver.

There has to be some loophole in the intentional fouling rules. Since when is grabbing or pushing a player without the ball not a foul? Why can't teams intentionally foul without chasing the ballcarrier?

Mavs are too good at FT's to win down the stretch like that. Honestly after Kobe missed that 3 it was over.

the nuggets will kill this laker team easily. we're no match for the nuggets. i just hope someone elimate denver in the PO or else it's goodbye trophy for them.

this laker team isn't as good as last year. pau regress this year as well. any team play physical will easily beat this laker team.

I personally expect a team as loaded as the Lakers to outplay their opponent. They are 10 points better than the Mavs... but when you trail for pretty much the entire second half of the game you don't deserve to win. That is true for the Memphis game, BOTH boston games, BOTH denver games, BOTH cleveland games...

They haven't played well and don't deserve praise.

the 'flow' is gone...

the team play, hustle, energy, defense we saw while kobe was out is GONE...

we're back to the older struggling lakers team yet again.

Well, let's see how LA plays on Sunday. If its more of the same, then I can't see how LA will beat Denver. Their bigs who are smaller have outplayed outmuscled and outworked our bigs... if that happens in the playoffs, LA will be watching the finals.

Not closing out, what the 2nd and 3rd quarters I think, hurt. Especially if Boston can pull out a win against the CAVS which I think is possible. CAVS have not played good ball after the trades and they are playing in Boston.
Buckle up! This off season is going to be some ride...

Cuz there's only 3 refs & 10 players on the court. How do you keep your eyes on who's fouling who first?

Points off of turnovers and giving up too many offensive rebounds killed the Lakers tonight. Bynum had two rebounds the entire second half. Jason Kidd and Jason Terry shot a combined 8-17 from three and the Mavs were +8 in ftm makes.

They've had jamison for 3 games the Cavs will be just fine and dandy come May I do think Orlando or a healthy Boston could possibly take them out though

Tonight, the Lakers (coming off a back-to-back) were outrebounded, Jason Terry went off, and the refs gave the Mavs more free throws, yet L.A. almost tied the game with a Kobe 3-pointer. That's why I'm not worried about this loss, and I look forward to seeing all the negative fans here eat crow when the Lakers repeat as champs this year. Good night, and good luck. :jam2:
Thanks for the sig, Jr. Kobe.

It would have actually worked against the Lakers had they called a foul away from the ball. If you foul a player away from the ball within the last two minutes of the game not only does the other team shoot FTs, they also get the ball back. It's called the "off the ball foul rule" and was put in place because teams would immediately foul Wilt away from the ball towards the end of games if the score was close due to his low FT percentage.
