Wed. 12/26 - Lakers @ Nuggets - Predictions & Comments

This is an opportunity to climb out of the cellar. Nugs were the opponent when we last saw the Jodie and Jamison show. Could not believe these guys were Lakers. Then what happened? From 3pt. monsters to sad attempts we haven't seen such another strong output from these guys. Hope they find it again.

Tweet from Kevin Ding:

D'Antoni said Nash is better defensively now than before in Phoenix. I asked D'Antoni how, and he said ...

"Him hounding people, getting through picks and different things. He was a little bit better than they what they always said. Especially as a team defender, he's really good. His understanding of the game is really good. So it was never true that he couldn't defend. Or that we couldn't defend in Phoenix."

D'Antoni continued on to get in his general argument for how his small Suns teams were better defensively than most understood. (It is increasingly apparent that Mitch Kupchak was right about D'Antoni being motivated to prove with the Lakers that he can coach defense.) But D'Antoni got back to Nash's defense and added this interesting note: "He said he has worked on his leg strength in the last couple of years to get better at it, and he has."

Even though winning this game might be a stretch, I really would like it if we did. Going back under .500 would be upsetting

Oh noes. Denver announcers on NBALP.

And not a minute into broadcast they call the Lakers "the bad guys". :bang: :bang: :bang:
Pau Gasol yesterday morning when asked about Dwight Howard: "I haven't called. Calls are expensive."

Clear path foul after 3 seconds of play? LOL

Wait is that the quickest foul in the history of the NBA?

OMG.. A clear path foul? A clear path in 3 seconds? Are you kidding me? WOW... The NBA has gone pathetic.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Oddest start to game I may have other seen. Other than Shaq getting a violation on the jumpball in just about every game in '04 (?) Finals.
