defense. 69% they shot in the 4th. Not kobe passing, or not shooting, the DEFENSE is what has been consistent. Not this game. Pau was a traffic cone their in the 4th. MAN would I have loved if we got gay.

i said it earlier kobe overdid it with passing didn t even look for his shot and when the shot was needed it wasn t there because he had no rhytmn. and everything what went right before bit the lakers because no one was able to hit some shots and kobe couldn t overtake it because he had no rhytmn at his shot because of passing to much. and the d12 injury didn t help either. i am so pissed right now. that wasn t neccasry . it s embarrassing

We should have had Jamison at the 3 down the stretch... way too many missed shots by Metta, really killed the offense... and it's not like he was defending Beasley either.

i blame not kobe for passing to much but because of all of the passing he didn t looked for his shot and had no rhytmn as we needed some shots because all other lakers didn t move or shot the ball . defense was awful as d12 was gone suns scored easily on lakers . gasol is a waste on defense

Pau wasn't too exposed tonight. They did penetrate mainly in transition not in halfcourt sets. They make a lot of jumpshots in the 4th quarter. Clark and Metta were the cones here.

I don't see how they come back from this. They were doubting themselves most of the season. Sure, they say all the right things. But when you lose 10 out of 12 and fall to 17-25, you have to have some confidence problems.

A 3 game win streak is not enough to erase all of the doubt. Now they gotta start over? On the road? If you can't beat a 15-30 team, who can you beat? I think this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Plus, its possible Howard won't be playing a few games.

Given that the players are now calling the plays and playing their own style why don't give one more step and decide the line ups and substitution patterns? It couldn't be worse than Pringles'.

I wonder what that locker room is like right now? What do they say? This was a must win game. They played sloppy in crunch time. Blew a lead against a bad team.

Sure, they'll come out and say all the right things. That they're confident they can bounce back next game. But do they really believe it? Would anyone believe it?

They're 21-26 now. Realistically they need to go 24-11 the rest of the way to get a playoff spot. Do they have the look of a 24-11 team? Right now they don't have the look of a .500 team. There's talk of this team being the most underachieving team in the history of team sports.
