What I don't understand is why isn't Le Sacre Bleu playing.

The Lakers lack energy tonite. I don't think GS's defense has been all that great. The lakers are missing shots and seem to lack the legs to rotate quickly. I don't know why their legs would be that dead, but that seems to happen to even young teams on the second leg of a back to back.

I do find it perplexing, however, that everyone knows what GS likes to run, and yet I don't see good recognition by the Lakers. This was a big problem last year, too: they don't seem to scout opponents very well (especially surprising against teams they see several times a year.

I also don't like it when pau starts whining to the refs this early in the season. I'm not seeing him impose himself in the post. he seems content to take the shot from the top of the FT line extended.

One other thought: Mike D'Antoni teams live (and usually die) by shooting threes at a high volume. When they hit, they can upset even more talented squads (like the Clips last nite). When they miss, you get games like tonite when they look like a bad JV team.

It's also strange to watch Blake's penchant for penetrating/dribbling under the basket for no apparent purpose. teams know he's not looking to score, so they play him for the dump-off pass which they promptly deflect for turnovers. Not sure why he's so reticent to actually shoot the ball when he's inches from the cup.

Warriors will played again back-to-back tomorrow against the Clippers, there is no way Marc Jackson gonna bring his Curry, Klay Thompson and Lee back into this game.

I know GS is everyone's new darling, but I don't expect to see them win anything this year. Their best post player on offense is Lee, but he's kind of a junk-baller down there. He doesn't instill fear and doesn't really collapse a defense. When they shoot well, they are like the Clips: world beaters. When they struggle from distance (as they will in the play-offs) they are very beatable.

They are pretty one-dimensional. I think teams like memphis or SA still have the advantage.

He seems to lack aggression. He shoots when it's "safe," to shoot. Not when there's pressure to score.

He has no feel for the game at all. Great athlete but a step slow mentally it seems in knowing what to do.

What he's supposedly known for is defense but I don't see that one bit. He is constantly out of position in the team scheme and really isn't that good on the ball either.

the shooting stats are going to look decent.... that's why stats are just a small part of the story.

2 games in.... both blow outs. Impressed by Farmar and Henry... not so much by Young and Johnson. Williams is still searching for a match up that isn't a nightmare for him.

Young has horrible shot discipline. When he on, he's can score 10 pints in a row in a hurry. But his shot selection prevents that from happening more than once in a while. The bigger problem is that he seems to have little interest in guarding his man.
