Sorry to say-- blown out again.

Lakers don't play defense, and Dallas will out-dallas us...

118-101...

Lakers give up 100 pts, and lose again... 0-11 going on 0-12.

So long as the Lakers learned from the Spurs game, they should win. They need to play WAY better transition defense, and guard the 3-pt line much better.

Kobe will need to go off for 40+ again but get at least 8 assists + and 7 rebounds.

Odom will need a 20+ point game with double digit rebounds as well.

two similar teams...well kinda.....both try to strive on the offensive end....score alot of points....at the end i think OUR defense will pull through, Mavericks dont really play really well defense we take this by single digits....GUARANTEED.

I'm predicting a W here. If there was a positive out of the blowout game tonight, it's that our starters got some rest, which is key on the killer schedule we have in front of us.

Sure, we have nothing to stop Dirk, I actually think Grant would do better on him than Odom, but that's a whole nother topic. But who do the Mavs have to stop Kobe? They don't have a defender that can guard a Moiso caliber player, much less a Kobe Bryant.

If Rudy starts Chucky, I will dislike him for the week. You can't get 1 rebound and 1 assist in that amount of playing time (26 minutes). I don't care how bad some of yall think Tierre is, if yall still think Chucky is better, I am calling you blind, a hater, or ignorant...sorry but that's the facts.

Their PG rotation is going to hurt us, namely Chuck(expletive) (expletive)kins. JT, Armstong, then Harris...may God have mercy on us.

Barring quick fouls, I am actually thinking that Mihm has a good chance at holding his own against Dampier. ED might have the body of a legit big man, but he is far from one. He's had one good season, gets his contract, and disappears off the radar again. Mihm averages close to the same amount of rebounds and is a better scorer. I really want for Bradley to get some playing time, see who can dunk on him this time, we all know he is infamous for being posterized.

I think the key matchup lies at the SF, we need Caron to have a big game. He is still fighting off flu like symptoms and back to back games sure doesn't make the healing process any quicker. But he has Howard and Stack, that's tough. He needs a big night on both ends, but this is the matchup to watch.

Nowitzki will have 35+points and we get burned! We can´t win back to back at home against Washington so i doubt we can win in Dallas! Dallas by 5

Well that havent learned from the other 20 plus games that they need to play defense, what makes you think tonight will teach them?

Brandon's Analysis
After the terrible beating we took against the San Antonio Spurs, playing the next day is going to be tough...in fact, not tough...incredibly tough. I'm sure the Lakers would be satisfied to play the Hawks or the Hornets (no offense, guys), but the Mavericks? Give us a break. Not only do we have less than 24 hours to rest up, but we also have to play yet another MVP-caliber player in Dirk Nowitzki, and his loaded roster, in Dallas. Talk about stacking the odds against us.

Dampier and Nowitzki are going to destroy us on the boards...no doubt about that. If the rebounding doesn't get us, the inside scoring will...and that includes everyone driving in for layups and dunks, not just Dirk dropping 30+ on us. Terry, Howard, Finley, Nowitzki, Stackhouse, Daniels...all of these guys can score at will...and we all know how great our defense is (sarcasm mode ON). Dallas will score 100 points...and I wouldn't be shocked if they added another 100 to it.

Guys on the bench...everyone is tired in Lakerland...so we could see more of our bench again. Jumaine Jones could be our spark late in the game, but who knows. His defense could help out alot against Howard and Stackhouse...and hopefully, Jones can come out firing and hitting shots, which can help us out extremely well when we find ourselves down by a big margin against the Mavs.

One last thing that the Lakers need to stress: teamwork. The Mavs will show their ability to play as a team tonight...so the purple and gold need to focus on passing and setting good screens, instead of making this a one-on-five game. Two assists total in the first half...count them, two...against the Spurs last night. R-I-D-iculous.

Brandon's Prediction
The Lakers are battered and beaten from the Spurs, and may not have enough time to recover for this game against the Mavs. Dirk will be on fire, and Kobe's efforts will fall short again. The Mavs will win in Dallas, 112-102.

Uhh what? The Spurs strive on the DEFENSIVE end, they just had a really good offensive night last night.

Things I think the Lakers need to win against the Mavs:

-Some decent D...not great D but decent.
-Kobe Bryant to play decent...not 40+ but maybe like 30-32 points
-Slava needs to have some minutes!
-And maybe Sean Elliott should coach the Lakers, he had some pretty good ideas last night lol

SHAQ'S FANS CALL BOI

STARTERS

Lakers

C-Mihm
PF-Odom
SF-Butler
SG-Bryant
PG-Atkins

Mavs

C-Dampier
PF-Nowitski
SF-Howard
SG-Finley
PG-Terry

6th men

LA

Tierre Brown -7 pts-2rebs-6ast

DAL

Jerry Stackhouse-20 pts 4 rebs 3 ast

I think this game will be all about the –O and not so much about the –D. It will be a “TEXAS SHOOTOUT…with the Texas team out shooting the California team. I think the Mavs will take control and just hit from everywhere. I think Lakers will get their share of scoring, but it will just not be enough. I see all of Dallas starters reaching double figures. Also I see no answer for Dampier(11pts 12 rebs 3 blk) and Finley(17pts) also Howard(12pts 8rebs) Jason Terry and if Marquis Daniels plays even him off the bench. Daniels is questionable with a sore left ankle. I see Tierre Brown coming off the bench a giving LAL a spark. I also see Lamar Odom having a decent game.

STATS

MVPs..........LA-------Bryant-34pts--7ast---7rebs
..................DAL------Nowitski-37pts--6rebs---2blks

I think Dallas will win by the score of 118-102.

THATS SHAQ FAN'S LINE>........TAKE IT TO THE STORE.
