Grizzlies Notch First Win
Much to the pleasure of the Memphis Grizzlies, the Los Angeles Lakers continued their struggles in the state of Tennessee. Kobe Bryant sat most of the fourth quarter and scored a season-low 20 points on 4-of-19 shooting for the Lakers, who shot just 37 percent (28-of-76) from the field. Lamar Odom and Chris Mihm scored 14 points apiece for Los Angeles, which dropped to 0-3 when opponents reach 100 points.

A huge game for us, I really want us to win this one. Then we got houston too.

The good thing is that the Grizzlies also played today on the road. The bad thing is that they are still winless and are hungry for their first win. They will be extra motivated, especially since its the Lakers.

I hope the Lakers come out strong and play like they did against New Orleands. Build a big lead and withstand whatever runs the Grizzlies try to manufacture. If they win this one too, it will be great for confidence!

It will be especially interesting to see, especially if jones is out and caron actually SHOWS effects of his sprained ankle. It's going to be a close game. When the Lakers were up 33 vs. NO, I thought "awesome, they'll still be rolling in memphis." Unfortunately, I think letting the Hornets come back to within 7 probably let a little too much wind out from beneath their sails.

this is gonna be memphis's 3rd home game too. Theyll definitley be looking for revenge especially after those ridicolous calls in the rockets game.

i say lakers just because theyll get into memphis ealier n get there rest unlike the grizz who have to go from houston to mempphis n the lakers are jus like2 hrs away from no to memphis i say lakers 97-83 :man7:

I really don't know what to expect in this game. The Lakers can do all the right things, but then they can do all the wrong things as well. So early in the season, it's hard to predict what team will show up. Either way, this should be a good test to see where our ball club stands. Even if we have trouble in this game, if we show some good signs, and make some good decisions, I'll be happy.

Memphis is looking real sluggish thus far much like "The Championship" Denver Nuggets... :man9:

(Gotta love those NBA analysts, huh?)

For some reason, I see point guard play being a HUGE factor here. Their point guard core is going to be something to contend with. This could be a tight one but I'm giving the edge to Memphis UNLESS we get at least 3-4 guys in double figures then we'll take them.

The Memphis Grizzlies right now is looking more and more like the Vancouver Grizzlies of old. It's a tough call for the Lakers right now. It's a back to back game, and you all know what happened last time against Utah.

However, it's also a back to back game for the Grizzlies as well who just suffered a tough loss against Houston. I don't think they'll have enough time to recuperate.

I'm thinking Lakers will win a close won by 6.

Ill always choose the Lakers to win but realistically.....

Considering the talent on the Grizz and the fact that they havent won thus far i see Hubie trying to instill a sense of urgency and pride in that team tomorrow. Couple that with the overall talent factor (more midlevel talent spread out as opposed to stars) , Caron possibly limping and Chucky (could be exploited both offensively * I see lots of dishes to Pau Pau via Chuckys man * and defensively *he may potentially be burnt by Jason and the Ex Blazer*).

I expect LO to hold his own.

Lakers by 5 if they lead going into the 4th. Lakers by 5 period.

I think we will lose this one BUT Memphis is not playing well now! We are in the better constitution! I donÂ´t know why mamphis plays like vancouver but i believe the first quarter is the quarter that we need to win! If that happens LA has good chances! Who is going to defend Kobe? Miller or Wells! Posey is out! Even Butler if not hurt too much is better than Battier! Odom vs. Gasol and Swift is going to be the key! Foul trouble is a factor in this game! Mihm can easily keep up with Wright i hope! And at times he has an atvantage over Swift! Chucky vs. Watson and white choclate is going to be important too but chucky has played well in the last games!Lets see what happens tonight!
