Kobe's rounding into shape and I feel he'll go off on the Nuggets and we'll increase our streak to 5.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

There's not a doubt in my mind we won't crush them. And like you said, I really feel that Kobe will up his play and go for 50 on Denver for obvious reasons. We lost to Denver while we were Shaqless, so he should dominate this team as well...

Get ready Melo, you're in for a rude awakening up there in Denver.

Kobe vs Melo will be a great matchup, especially since Melo will be doing this all night- :man4: ...he will be expecting the same Kobe that he played last time, but Kobe is a different player, he is playing very close to his level of play last season...but now he is a better shooter with his left and can make 1/2 court shots.

I agree. But I think Kobe has surpassed his play compared to last season. He's not only scoring unbelievably for us, he's setting up his teamates better than ever before, and his chemistry with Shaquille is more complete than ever before.

Kobe Bryant is playing beyond his own talent. The guy is playing unreal right now in all areas of the game.

Kobe is playing great, but last year he just owned, and it was on a nightly basis. But he's doing great and we should easily beat Denver. Shaq needs to dominate.

You mean "Shaq needs to CONTINUE to dominate."

we just need to ride this momentum and energy that we have right now, for a couple more weeks, then Malone will be back and that will give us a whole new meaning to the word dominate and we will ride that momentum to June

The Lakers will get revenge on the Nuggets for that humiliating road loss and win in Denver. The way the team is playing now, Melo and his gang won't be a major threat. But George and Slava should be benched and Russell and the others should get more PT, based on their performances the last couple of games. LA by at least 5. :jam2:

It's nice Kobe calls him Stan, that shows how close he is to the other players. I do have patience, but the way Stan's been playing, he should be benched. I think he'd do better if he didn't start, at least for a little while, and when Karl comes back he'll have to come off the bench anyways. I like Stan, but he just hasn't been producing as of late. Nothing against him personally.

The Nuggs have lost 3 straight. They're not gonna roll over in their own gym so the Lakers will have to bring it....

That's true, but don't worry... Kobe wants to "bring it", and "bring it" he will. Denver has no answers for Shaq to some extent and by the way Kobe has been playing, he will dominate Melo.

I expect a big game out of GP as well. I think he will be set up more considering more and more teams are doubling Kobe now. It's going to be great, a big game for us...

Also don't forget, after we play this game, we play Sacramento the next night (Thursday). So hopefully we can seal this game early on so we don't have to contend in a dog fight and tire ourselves out too much. But like I said, with the way we've been playing, I don't expect us to have many problems with this struggling Denver squad.

I think Cook, Luke, Russell, Fisher, and Rush will see as many minutes as possible against the Nuggets; because Phil is going to want to have Kobe, Payton, and Shaq as rested as possible for Sac. we want to beat them probably more than most of the teams we play, especially since it will be on TNT.

Hopefully Fisher can do a better job against Boykins though, because Earl has killed Fish in the past games they played this year
