You forgot the part about webber. This will be Malones biggest challenge since coming back from injury. Contain webber as well. Dont underestimate him even after coming back from injury. He can still kill as well.

Ya but this is webber. Kg might be easier to guard since he is so damn skinny and not as strong as webber is. Webber is bigger in terms of being stronger and wider.

Not only are they going to be a bit tired, they are going to be a bit angry to. Tommorow will be a defining game for both teams in my opinion.

We have tommorow plus one more meeting with the Kings this season. It is NOW time to make a statement.

If the Kings are tired and angry, I think that's good, because they'll try to set the tone early but fail and miss a lot of jumpers, which will frustrate them. The Lakers will be motivated and now I believe they'll win this game decisively, but the team better not give them TOO many open shots. (Unless Webber's the one shooting.)

We just need to let Webber take 40 shots and we will have an easy win

Shaq makes Vlade and Miller his b1thces.
Defend the pick and roll and stop wide open Bibby and Peja.
Slow the Queens down like their in high heels trying to run.

That's right! Defend Peja and Bibby, and they'll give the ball up to Webber. Phil, tell Karl to lay off of C. Webb! He's coming back from injury and he needs a break.

Peja & or Bibby will get theirs. Trust me, it's going to be a tough defensive challenge for the Lakers tommorow night.

If Fox is on his defensive game then the Lakers will win.

yep, Peja and Mike B. are the only players I am somewhat concerned about. We HAVE to guard them and we can't get caught in their picks or Bibby or Peja will have wide open shots, which they will knock down.

I am very confident in our big men, they will have a huge night on both ends of the floor. Shaq will foul Divac out and Miller can't stop him. Malone will dominate Webber, he will score on him at will and prevent him from making his shots (it won't be hard, just leave Webber open and clank...miss...clank...miss, etc. ).

The Kings have their own version of George, he goes by the name of Webber. Fortunately we weren't counting on our George saving us, they were counting on theirs and it doesn't seem to be helping them any. We are smart enough to have Devean come off the bench, but they start their George.

Im still kinda curious why everyone is thinking webber is like our devean george. Webber may miss a ton of shot but when i look at the stats for the games i see webber with double digit numbers in points all the time.

Maybe hes not putting up enough points, not playing d, no rebounds?????

Tonight's game is going to be really tough for LA, as is Friday's but let's take it one game at a time. The Kings WILL score pretty much at will because of the Lakers' poor defense. (Enough of this, "we'll tighten up in the playoffs," talk.) On the other hand LA should be able to do what it wants offensively because Sac is also a poor defensive team. It's going to come down to who can make more plays down the stretch. It's vital that LA keep this game within 5 points the entire 48 minutes. They can't allow The Kings to go on a big run giving LA an excuse to quit. (An excuse they've clung to too much for my liking as Malone pointed out when made reference to, "built in excuses" in an article in The Daily News today)

I remember a time when I had no doubt The Lakers could step up and take a statement game, so far this year that confidence has vanished! I as a Laker fan am very curious to see what kind of effort we give in "key moments" of tonight's game. Once a realm we ruled, "key moments" have been our weakness this year. That's not a fine attribute to a team fighting for a championship but the "light" is still there. These next two games, if won, could separate us from San Antonio and put some real pressure on Minny and Sac-town. Unfortunately all year long chances like these have been squandered by The Lakers thus far.

As I've posted before, the time is now. Kobe or no Kobe, we have to win these next two games. All year we've waited for the right time to step up, we must make our move, this golden opportunity to catch the top seed is GONE if we don't capitalize starting tonight.....

Man, I can't wait for the game, to me it will show a lot!
