I believe winning this alone isn't a statement. It has to be a blow out for it to be a statement which is HIGHLY unlikely judging by the past 5 games. However, I did see some improvement on the pick and roll in the Bucks game. Then again, no one runs the pick and roll better than the Queens.

I think we can win if we want.last time,it looks like that we don't have any desire to win the Queens....

Kobe said he will play in this game, how much of the game he will play is still unknown, but HE WILL PLAY.

We need Shaq to come out like he did tonight and dominate them...rebound, block, score, and make high % shots

Not only will this game be close, the Lakers might not win. I hope so, of course, but the Kings are a dangerous team. Though they have lost some games on the road as of late, LA must pick up its play on the defensive end. The Kings LOVE to shoot and run the pick-n-roll and remember what Peja and Bibby did the last time they played here at Staples. The Lakers can't expect to just turn it on and win against Sacramento. They MUST play 48 minutes of solid basketball, or else that team up north will gain another game on us. :man7: :man7: (Doubled for emphasis.)

Shaq needs to be shown tapes of games against the Queens this season to piss him off. If he dominates like yesterday, Kobe is hitting most of his shots, Malone is finding the open guy, and our bench produces then we are gonna win.

We need to win this game. We haven't beat them all year. We 0-2, we need to show them who's boss, even the series. We all know what happened last year when we went 0-4 to the spurs.

Hmmm this is interesting:

A pretty much healthy Lakers team (Grant is injured)
A pretty much healthy Kings club

I better not hear any excuses by either side after this game, no matter what the outcome. I don't want to hear - we wern't fully healed or something like that. Because both teams are healthy.

Let's go Lakers - stop these Queens!

Kobe News:

Now, due to Kobe's hearing, there is a possibility he will miss the game. But as of right now, it's looking like there's a very good chance of him arriving late to play. From ESPN:

Bryant plans to play Wednesday night against Sacramento despite pretrial hearings Wednesday and Thursday in Colorado involving his sexual assault charge. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Bryant will fly to Los Angeles after Wednesday's court action and return to the Eagle County court early the following day

Kind of like the Lakers were without Shaq, Kobe, and Malone the first meeting. Then without Malone the second meting?

Plus, it's uncertain if Kobe will get back in time to start the game...

Personally I think the April 11th meeting will be a fair matchup.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Well I don't pay attention to the Queens roster cuz they are sh.. to me. Hopefully when the Lakers win the fourth meeting all the Queens will be playing so no more excuses can be used on either side.
