My predictions are the Lakers 99-91...

I really think that GS would step it up this time, but the Lakers still have the strength to beat them. Expect Jannero and Slava to explode, and hopefully...Kareem?

Luke Walton looks afraid to shoot. Brian Cook looks afraid to make shots. Slava looks afraid to play D. Mo Carter looks OBSESSED with shooting.

I agree, Walton looks well... not afraid, but rather too passitave.

As the season progresses he'll gain condidence to shoot and score more. Right now, his passing skills are unbelievable. The kid knows basketball, the kid knows basketball quite well.

And that's exactly what we need. We already have 4 huge scorers. We need a role player that can make the offense work and create opportunities for his teammates.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Not to mention, when Walton gets the ball on the break he can dribble it pretty well and dish off on the fast break. That's a unique strength I noticed in him last night.

Yeah, did you see that dish he made to Slava on the inside? What a pass. Walton is the type of player that thinks 5 seconds ahead of where he is. He's got a great understanding of the game for a Rookie.

does anybody know what the hell brian cook was doin yesterday?

I look for cook and rush to come strong today cuz they both played bad yesterday...rush needs to be scorin ATLEAST 10-15 ppg right now...especially if Jannero is gettin 12 pts....and he wanst even drafted...

lakers win 105-89

From what I've seen so far, Pargo is MUCH better than Rush. I hope Rush comes strong and proves himself.

We don't need Rush if we have Payton, Fisher, and Kobe. You can rotate Payton and Fish at the one and two spot.

And yes, Pargo has proven himself better than Rush on many accasions.

the sad thing is, maybe on too many occasions...

haven't really seen Rush score over 12 points a game last season...and to think that Pargo was once a poor man's Tyronn Lue... :man10:

Then is Rush a poor man's Wesley Person then?
