Don't worry, we're actually down by 20.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Golden State is shooting 60+% and we are just testing the invitees on the floor at the same time. No worries guys, this is experimental time, not time to win.

No, it's halftime now.

We were up in the first quarter but then Phil put in 4 training camp invitees + Brian Cook in the 2nd and we only scored 11 points.

That's why we're down by 20 at the half.

Lakers 35
Warriors 55

Ok guys, get ready for a comeback and win. We'll comeback through the entire bench player for the Lakers.

What the hell happened?

I watched the first quarter, had to go out and come back during the third quarter and they're down by 21???

Guess what!?

8:19 to go in the 4th and were down by 20.

Remember fellas, we are experimenting with our draft invitees for the season. This is pre-season, we just gotta let them play...

Of course not! Remember, it's pre-season: A time to look at invitees and player you may look to sign. Losing doesn't mean anything, there is no gameplan for the players. You just have them go and play.

Once the cuts are made, then you play to win. But for now, PJax and his squad are just inspecting the camp invitees and their rookes.

Also take to mind -- The Triangle Offense is one of the toughest to understand and "get". Alot of these players don't get it. And alot can clearly see that.

Thank you for taking the time to post that simplistic reply, keep in mind that some people here are over 15 yrs old here. Being 37 myself, I believe I have a grasp of preseason. Since I am not watching the game I just wanted to know Phil's take.....rest the veterans or extend their minutes to learn each other on the court. I think I understand that it is not important to win. I realize there was no ill will on your part and please extend that courtesy to me.

Well... I've really only been impressed with Walton. Cook is another story.

No one played well at all... I'd say the only person who played decent was Slava. Everyone else looked like hell (in terms of 2nd/3rd teams)

The invitees ALL looked terrible. I don't think Sampson did anything at all... Terrible game for everybody. :man5:

That Ime Udoka is going to get cut...He missed three layups in two games. That is unforgivable. There were way too many defensive lapses and turnovers from the second unit out there. Anyone know why Bryon Russell wasn't in uniform tonight?

Bryon Russell, who sprained his left ankle in Tuesday's game against the Warriors, did not play Wednesday The Lakers lost Wednesday's game, 99-83. Payton had 11 points, O'Neal 10 and Malone eight in limited action. With those three on the court, the Lakers outscored the Warriors by four.

I don't know if that is gonna help Bryon Russell out, but if you think about it...no one played well in his place....so that spot is left for only him to blow. I feel that he could have easily played through a sprained ankle, which means that he is probably already guaranteed a spot on the roster, otherwise he would have sucked it up and played to try and fight for a spot on the team.
