Another back to back. Lakers havent done well with those this year. Good thing Shaq only played about 28 mins.

This win would be huge. I think it's very winnable. Kobe'll have fresh legs if he plays. I would also like to see alittle more of Luke, but don't we all?

Shaq has been killing the competition lately, Francis is over rated which is why I think he sucks as... After the All Star break Kobe will probably be like Shaq and start off a little rusty then go back to his true self. I think Shaq will kill Yao and make Yao his bee-atch. We gotta stop Jim Jackson, and from start to finish, no letting him get hot early in the third and score a lot in the second after being contained in the first.

A side note, Kobe has a lot more energy to play in this game seeing is how almost everyone played yesterday. Kobe might drop 50 like he did against them last year. :jam2:

Kobe WILL play tonight.

"He says he'll play (tonight)," coach Phil Jackson said. "If he can stand the discomfort, he can play.

I hate to say this guys, but I think the Rockets will blow us out of the gym. Kobe won't have his A game and this is a back to back game. Plus Yao will be extremely fired up!

Like Shaq won't? I bet he's probably watching the Christmas game getting fired up to tear apart Yao. They beat us at home and there's nothing like pay back.

i'm sure shaq is motivated, but i don't know how much. I think we'll win tonight if we can stop francis, Ming won't do too much against us.

I think the Lakers will win because I suspect they remember what happened on Christmas day last year at home. Losing to a bad road team like Houston by even a few points is embarassing and the team will be fired up and ready to play. Even if Kobe plays and doesn't have his "A" game, he's still one of our key guys and will certainly contribute. With or without him, this game is a W and we'll be 5-2 on this road trip despite all the injuries. :jam2:

No your forgetting a key person who didn't play on X-Mas day -- Rick Fox.

Fox, Fisher, George, Walton and all the other key role players are going to continue their consistently good play.

Kobe may not come with his, "A" game... but his prescense on the court (At the worst case possible) is EXTREMLY valuable to this team.

We're going to take this one because Shaq will want some revenge and show who the true dominant player is in the leauge.

Hopefully so jsm... The only thing that's going to hurt us is that this is a back-2-back game night. :man5:

That's why I want the Lakers to put this one away early, if they let the Rockets get a big lead, it might be too much to overcome, unlike last night's game against Miami, when they were rested. :man7:

8 games ago (Jan 28th) Phil said he expected to win the next 2 at home, then win 5 out of the 7 game trip. With a win tonight they only fall 1 game short of that goal. I think that's an accomplishment considering the circumstances.

Lakers by 5 :jam2:

And one of those games was against Phoenix at home, a 3-point loss, so they actually fell short of their goal by 4. That was one we shouldn't have lost, but it's a good record, I'll take it.
