Shaq had 7 points and 5 rebounds on 1/4 shooting.

He played 18 minutes.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

does anyone think tonight's game was a preview of things to come? I know the bench won't see as much time when Fox, Shaq, and Malone are all 100%, but if they are capable of coming in and playing like they did tonight, when we have everyone healthy...then we will be one scary team

Minnesota loses noxcel...

well, that was an interesting game that we saw tonight...we were down at the 1st half and the Sonics looked prepared but it seemed like we gained more motivation and much better defense at the 4th, looked like the Sonics entirely gave up so that was good that Fisher got 6 steals, happy he's breaking out...our bench did a lot and Shaq didn't need to do much...just with his presence we did well...Payton good game too

Rick Fox did pretty good for his first game.
He played 8 minutes, 1 rebound, 1 blocked shot, 2 points on 2 for 2 free throw shooting, 0 out of 2 FG. Way to go

Shaq was rusty and didn't score or rebound much, but at least he's back. Fox played all right and will get better as the season progresses. GP took it to his old team, and Kobe's shoulder is still sore but he did his usual thing. But tonight the story of the game was the play of our second unit. It shut down the Sonics, primarily because of Fish's defense and Grant's hustle. And Nate McMillan getting a technical when he tried to slap the ball away from Kobe was hilarious! That should be a highlight for sure. I love this game! :jam2:

Entertaining game to watch. funny moment with mcmillan for sure. The other was Fox' first shot- a rocket into the backboard. Kobe's left handed half court pass to shaq..which landed in the seats.

Note: times like these, shaq should work on the sky hook or something, less stress on the body and he doesn't have people hanging on his center of balance.

I'm glad horace showed up with some energy. He must have taken a biagra-viagra for basketball. Slava looked tentative on his shots since he knows he's not the first or second option anymore. Devean played too much for my taste, he was 4-8 but his last 3 shots were horendous and He finished the game. This tells me that devean has lost phil's confidence...for good reason.

The best thing about this game is that no one fell in love with the 3-pointer, especially Fish. he was 5-11 but took only 2 from the arc. I hope he takes this game and continues with it because he's useless otherwise.
