A little slack game by the Lakers but I'm glad they pulled it out. Only 16 points for KG...that's what i like to see! Keep that guy under 20 and Lakers should have no problems.

Malone did a good job on Garnett. Look at Malone's stats...who's the MVP again? :man10:

Ok, guys. Looking to game 2. We need to come out with the same type of attack, but put more emphasis on KG, because he will come out blazing like he did against the Queens. So if we can contain him and rebound better we should be able to go up 2-0. And of course shut down the damn 3s. And we are really going to need other people then Shaq, because you know they will probably double Shaq next game. Hopefully D-Fish will have another great game. Good job Lakers, now I can have a happier time tomorrow at my sister's wedding! See ya guys on Sunday. :jam2:

P.S. did you see Cassell on the bench for the whole 4th quarter? He is extremely hurt. Payton needs to take it to him harder next game.

Because they were probably still thinking that winning Game 7 against the Kings meant they won some kind of championship. I pity the fools. :man10:

I just checked out last years game 2 agains the puppies and Garnett had 35 points the next game, so we definately need to focus on him big time! Man did you also see the love between Shaq and Kobe? I dont' care what anyone says, I think their relationship has been repaired.

good win. great execution. nice distribution... yet the game was kinda boring if you ask me. not one point was i worried that the twolves were going to beat us. they were sloppy and the lakers didn't seem to be playing with 100% intensity. feels like they were playing 2 notches below the level they played spurs. lakers should've and could've blown this team out. hope we play harder in game 2 because we know KG is bringing his guns n stuff in game 2

You could say the same thing for the Pacers and the Pistons. Time to mark out my spot on the parade route.

True. But what did you expect from the T-Pups with only one day in between being exhausted by the Kings and meeting up with a refreshed Laker squad that had 6 days of rest. But a win is a win, and I'll gladly take that, exhausted or not. :man1:

I was fairly indifferent to the Minny/Sac-town series, wished both teams could lose. I really can't stand KG but hate the Kings team more so I guess it worked out okay that Minny won.

Makes it that much better when Shaq and Malone destroy KG this series. :man1:

Yeah, what a great win for us!!Lakers played good D on KG,and almost everybody can score,so we take this game!!

well,I have to say,Shaq is MDE right now, lcheck out his stat, man, that is much like the MVP :man1: GP provide more fire in first quarter, but his FG is not good....however,Kobe is on his average,Mailman send mail today,and....Fish shoots with confidence!!Fish is my MVP today!!Great job!!Hope we can keep this and win this series!!

GO LAKERS!!CHAMPION LAKERS!!

great win!!!

shaq was spectacular. his freethrow stats says everything.
kobe was smooth. at the very least, he negated every single point contributed by sprewell to the t-wolves' cause. mind the assists too!
malone was great. did he just pile up more points and rebounds than the current league MVP?
d-fish was at it again! nobody can deny that he was the one who broke the hearts of the wolves with those 4 3-pointers. who says the wolves have the deeper bench? :man12:
payton was cool in all this.
the law may be harsh but it is the law.
