^^ watch it in slow-mo, he switches his pivot foot on the step back... making it seem like one, but that's just quality footwork!

ono after that step back he clearly makes his pivot foot his left foot he also defines it by jabbing with his right foot ... well jabbing ... one jab with his right foot thus making his left foot a pivot foot but also with that step back he lands with his left foot on the floor first thus making it pivot foot since that time but even thought if don't count that his move with his right foot clearly declare his left foot as pivot foot

A lot of people think that up and under move is a travel (they're wrong, of course :man10: )....I remember a similar outcry when he did it to Manu in the 2008 playoffs.

Yet, I have never seen the refs call it a travel...it's a split second type of thing, his feet move so fast and so impeccably....maybe in slomo you can argue "he's switched his pivot", but in real time, you have no chance of seeing it. It's one of those gray area plays where you just have to nod your head to some pretty nifty footwork and just say, "what a great move".

I dont think it was a travel, the last power dribble before he made a move he did a jumpstop, which allows him to establish either foot as his pivot foot. In this case, his right foot was his pivot foot and he used that as his pivot foot for the up and under finish.

Its just great footwork, if you want to compare to someone who travels all the time, watch lebron's moves.

i've seen it without slomo ... and ti's travel he shifted pivot foot ... but in real time you might not get that since you are not wathicng feet at that moment but it'S definitely travel he shifted pivot foot

and yes that play on Manu was also travel my man ... but since you're the biggest Kobe homer i see why you're blinded on that replay

even if you say his right foot is pivot which is not btw he still shifted it thus traveling ...
