NBC to make series on Jeanie Buss

Postby JSM on Thu Sep 18, 2003 7:59 pm

I don't know if they are still planning to do this, but I found this:

The story of Jeanie Buss, the daughter of Lakers owner Jerry Buss, who morphed from a Playboy pinup to a top business executive at the team, is headed to the small screen. She has joined forces with NBC to develop a drama series about a woman high up in the hierarchy of an NBA basketball team.

The network will give it a “West Wing feel, showing the inner workings of the team’s management. Buss will executive produce with TV executive Gavin Polone and feature filmmaker Audrey Wells, who will write and direct it.

Also on board as an executive producer is Linda Rambis, Kurt Rambis's wife.

I think they're still going with this, it was on the ESPN Lakers Clubhouse last time I checked.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.
