From the start of the game Chick Hearn anticipates a possible triple double from Grant Hill and he sure got what he wanted. Hill puts on a show by scoring with acrobatic layups, jumpshots, banking in a three for the overtime, rebounding (included his rebounds also - great positioning for some of them by Hill) and dishing out nice dimes, I even think that all of Otis Thorpe's 22 points come from wide open dunks after Grant's assists. What can be better than Chick Hearn commentating a triple double performance by Grant Hill!? January 18, 1997.

Kobe repeats his career-high at that point by scoring 21 points vs the Pistons off the bench and adding some assists to it as well.

Grant Hill banks in a difficult off-balance three pointer to tie the game and force overtime vs the Lakers.

Shaquille O'Neal saves the Lakers by blocking Grant Hill's possible game winner.

Rookie Kobe Bryant and Nick Van Exel make a nice fastbreak play.

Shaq frees himself up with a nice spin and Nick Van Exel completes the alley-oop with a nice pass.
