...I saw Above the Rim but don't remember anything about it. I'll have to rent it again.

It was ok...it should have had MJ in it, even if it was a cameo, you can't name a movie after someone and not even have them in it

He Got Game is awesome, just to see Denzel going at it against Ray Allen. Public Enemy soundtrack rocks as well.

Above the Rim stars Tupac, Marlon Wayans, and a few other chums. Its about this young punk teen named Kyle Watson who dreams of a hooplife at the University of Georgetown. His attitude stinks and he seems to be getting involved with a bunch of low lives like Birdie (Tupac). Birdie's older brother Tommy Shepphard tries to mentor young Kyle to better perfect his game and attitude while at the same time score with Kyle's mom. Kyle is again lead astray by the thug life but in the end he sees which path of life to take and he ends up making all the right decisions. This movie was the first that I could remember that brought the essence of Street basketball onto the big screen. All in all I give it ***1/2.

what was the basketball movie with kevin bacon and he was a recruiter who went to africa to get a guy that was really good to come and play in the US...it wasn't bad I just can remember the name of it.
