Lakers for Hinrich

Forum rules
As you may have noticed, there are two new sub-forums in this forum -- Sourced Rumors and Trade and Signing Ideas.

All threads should go in one of these two places. And here is how you will determine where to post (this will also help you know where to look for particular threads):

All topics created in the Sourced Rumors forum should have a source (hence the name of the forum). State where you heard/saw the rumor and a link if applicable. Good sources would be an online article or a respectable blog by a member of the media. Radio reports or summaries from TV reports (ex. Bucher on ESPN News) are also accepted, but the staff will have a quicker trigger finger with regards to these two, especially if they are being posted by a member who's credibility is questionable or if no one else heard/saw the report. This is due to the fact that people often fabricate reports for various reasons. Only sources which directly mention the Lakers or a Lakers player should be reported in the Sourced Rumors sub-forum.

Trade and Signing Ideas: in short, this is where everything else goes. Suggestions of who the Lakers should sign or trade for. Reports of other teams' players being on the trade block. To differentiate these from general ideas/suggestions, please continue to use list the source in the title, just as we did with the sourced rumors prior to the creation of the sub-forum (ex. ESPN: Nuggets looking to move Melo). Such reports would not go in the Sourced Rumors forum because they do not directly relate to the Lakers and any discussion that the rumor would spawn would be speculation and trade suggestions. Any "inside" rumors from family, friends, or other sites should be posted in the Ideas forum. Once it is supported by a sourced member of the media, it will be moved to the Sourced Rumors forum.

If you are still uncertain of where to post your topic, post it in the parent forum, Lakers Trade Rumors, and it will be redirected by a staff member.

Lakers for Hinrich

Now this is just an idea of course but with Derek fisher not getting any younger and slowly coming to the end of his run with the Lakers, I think the Lakers should start looking for a replacement for the Long time Laker. My suggestion is Kirk Hinrich of the Washington Wizards. Captain Kirk is a Smart and Reliable Point gaurd, a great leader as he's proven to be over the years with the bulls. A great defender as well as a great 3-Point shooter. I think he would be the perfect point gaurd to Replace fisher and run the Triangle offense once he's gone. He's being paid 9mil this year and 8mil the next so the best trade i see for him is one involving Sasha Vujacic and his expiring contract coupled with Steve Blake. I believe the money matches up and i think, the Wizards would be willing to make such a trade due to the fact that Kirk Hinrich is a starter on just about any team and they don't have too much room for him behind the rookie John Wall and Gilbert Arenas. Sending them Blake ensures them a decent back up for the 2 in return for Hinrich as well as freeing up 5 mil in cap space for a future signing this upcoming summer. What do you guys think??

btw if you guys have the time would you please vote for my sisters picture on this website. I'm trying to help her win a trip to peru and we need all the help we can get. She is also a Die Hard Lakers fan and she deserves this more than anybody because she's been through a lot this year... You guys help would be greatly appreciated! All you have to do is copy and paste this link or click it if it's available then vote for the picture by scrolling right below it and clicking 5 stars where it says vote. THANK YOU GUY!! Lakers have a trade exception from Sasha. They wont ever trade Fisher. Blake hasnt worked out as hoped for. I think Blake for Hinrich may work for the Wizards. Hinrich is a free agent after this season too I believe.

Wonder if that traded-player exception the Lakers got for Odom could be used for Hinrich, he may make a bit too much, I read the player has to make less than $9 million....just looked it up, he makes $8 million this year and is a UFA I believe after that.

So here we are 4 months later....I have more free time in my life as I can not stomach watching the Lakers suck. And they should not. They have the talent, they have the depth. I believe they lack a coach. The problem is Jim Buss will be too cheap to fire Brown, and hire another coach. So we can now assess the career of Kobe Bryant, as he shall never be a contender for a world champion again. He's chasing "immortality" now by chasing stats, I wonder how many years before the Lakers are "right" again.
