Right now the lakers are in need of a center to make Gasol rest, an athletic player to do the fast breaks, and the 3pt shots to catch up...
My recent logs were nonsense, but I think now it is good(but long).
Lakers are having trouble with the defensive end, and the the low post. Right now, Gasol needs the rest, or the unthinkable might happen...injury. Without Theo Ratliff, and Andrew Bynum, Odom has to be a center and with the only help of Derrick Caracter. We can't afford to lose those valuable players.
Another thing is the fastbreaks, without Brown on the court, it is slow, they sometimes wait for other players to go there, and if they miss, the other team might get the rebound.
3pt point plays, the past few games, the lakers was making the other team catch up, or even beat them with the three point plays, especially the game vs Suns when they made 22 3pts.
The only player I can think of is Channing Fry. A big man that can be a center, a 3pt shooter, and much more. He is not really an athletic player or a very good defensive player, but he is young and can accelerate his game. He is really improving, and with him in the roster, the lakers can also improve.
I checked and researched that Channing Fry can be able to go to a team that can give him 2.1 mil. The Phoenix Suns gave him a 5 year contract of 5 million some. The lakers are also looking at E. Dampier and J. Voskuhl, but the heat already got Dampier because of the lost of Haslem. I was thinking that we can make Caracter improve by having more minutes, but that might take a while, VOSKUHL... Here we go.
